1970 i just to work between Damen and western.at grand.

I used to live close to Grand in the Western suburb of Leyden. Drove or took a bus downtown back in the 50 and 60's. Been 60 years since being in that neck of the woods.
Wow. Thats a great experience to remember. I wonder how buses looked like at that time and the traffic.
@@drivgest Mom would take us to the city as a kid. They had electric buses in spots, and the diesel buses would belch out clouds of black smoke. You would put the bus fare into a box next to the driver.

crossing the tracks at 76 Ave and Grand is now one lane to 1st Ave... what a nightmare now.. people turning left with parking only in a few areas...WHY ?????
