I forgot to mention that all of my nerfs used up the full 32GB of my ram and then spilled over onto the scratch disk which is of course a lot slower. So if you want to use 200 images at 2k or 100 at 4k then it will be a lot faster with 64GB of ram. Though 10 minutes to train 100 4k images was not bad at all. I am not complaining :D
Thanks for the great work! Impressive! You mentioned in twitter submission that 84 images taken from drone were used for this 3D scene. At 3:44 of this video, the scene looks pretty big. This surprises me and I thought much more images are needed in order to cover different views. Thanks again for sharing!
Now we need a NeRF video
Great video Dirk
Thank you. Glad you found it useful :D
can you export nerfs as 3d model?
Yes you can export obj but the results are not as good as traditional photogrammetry th-cam.com/video/knB9t9PEOVY/w-d-xo.html . At least in the examples I have built. You can also get vertex colors which might be useful for some people but that is also not supported in all 3d apps (like blender).
@@DirkTeucher Thanks! Would be so cool to export models to unreal engine 5
Is there a way to share the built with us. Or do we have to put everything together on our own pc?
You have to install it and compile to run them at this point in time.
Can someone please build this into the Nvidia Omniverse?
Yeah it is still a bit of a pain to setup ... but I reckon it will be made easier/faster to use in the next year. They are still actively developing it and I can see they put new code in about 38 minutes ago. So maybe that will happen when they feel like it is finished. I hope so too.
