    I remember speaking to a ATP players years ago and one I thing I remember his saying is that if you win the 1st set easily, you can easily dip, so always focus more than anything ie go 200% on trying to get to 3 games in the 2nd set without dropping any games.

    First congratulations for the match and high ranked opponent, good performance. I have to say, I don’t believe it was confidence issue, for me you just came back to the second set with less focus and too relaxed (almost lazy on the court). But I wasn’t there and wasn’t in your head, so just you can say what happened. Keep going, get them!

    Great start to the tie break and amazing down the line on the backhand to go up 3-1; but the approach at 3-1 kills me , I thought you had it but you did not take advantage of that opportunity and that point change the match. If you are going to miss ,miss big specially against high ranking opponents and that overhead into the net kills me get back in the point like he just did. Good luck bro keep at it and learn from this loss it will only make you better 😎👍🎾

    Great match, you played really well GRISH. Good to see that you motivated yourself at the start too even though you felt flat. Playing tennis involves primarily having confidence in your skill set without the harsh expectations. Circumstances are hardly ever ideal for ..EVERYBODY, remember that. Take pride in your abilities and find the enjoyment of pure competition knowing that your opponent is just another version of you. Enjoying his differences and uniqueness will bring the best out of you.

    Great playing Grisha! I think you could work a little on the shot selection - the under leg shots mid-point without any need for them, the smash being 3-1 up in the super, and a couple other shots where it looks like you were making an unconscious choice of "F it, I don't want to suffer". You have the shots and level to beat these guys! Go for it! Great content, as usual.

    Noob tactical observation. Your backhand cross court looked great in these highlights. Most importantly, you were able to cosistantly place it close to that sideline and it seemed you had an edge in those backhand exchanges. As much as you love your backhand down the line, I think you were doing him a favor when you went for that shot. should've just keep him under pressure cross court and make him find the solution, not offer him one :)
    Spectacular performance btw. Just shows that those guys are not aliens and that you're not that far away. Hope it gave you a lot of motivation to work even harder and climb those rankings in the near future. Good luck!

    you played soo well expecially in that first set, u did rlly well and u managed to break your opponent, and really gave the top 500 player quite the scare, could u please gimme tips on how to do that, in my acedemy i can beat pretty good players (even the ones that win itf junior events), but when it comes to tournaments, im losing in the first round where as the players in my acedemy are winning those tournaments and beating players who are rlly good, i have the same amount of experience as them in tournaments but am not able to play the same way in matches. if u have any tips it would be greatly appreciated as u have such an amazing game and ur always very confident i wanna be like u!
    hard luck on this match btw u almost had him

      @gladiatorstribe  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This might be a slightly crazy advice but the problem is that you put too much importance on those matches. Try to relax and play to enjoy and not just to win. Of course winning is important but there's no way of achieving a victory if your nerves make you feel so tense and pressured that you can't move. Lose that fear to lose and you'll start winning!

    Grish, I don't want to make excuses, but I think you got distracted with the rain in the 2nd set. I know the opponent needs to deal with it too, but maybe it was more difficult because the momentum shift after the first game. I think it wouldn't have been 1-6 in set 2 if the rain didn't come down like that. I think that match was yours, just strange weather out of nowhere. I hope you luck in your next match. You're playing very well. And great attitude despite the loss.

    Don't beat yourself up to much on the result. You played an amazing match, especially the first set. It seems that Tao is really hugging the baseline, and in the beginning he had some difficulty controlling your depth, but at some point got into a groove. Also the wet court might have helped him a bit in keeping the bounce a bit lower.
    A super-tie-break is an unfortunate ending anyways. 1 or 2 slight misses or good balls can increase confidence so much. If here, you would have gone 4-1 up, I can easily see the result being the other way around.
    Small question: do you do the show-boating (e.g between legs shots/volleys) to keep relaxed? Or is it just natural to your game. Don't see that many top players do that in serious matches. Keep up the grind!

    I don't understand this underarm serve and some of the shots selection. yes, tennis is a game, but it is true when you play at the club. Kygrios or Bublik are comedian and although have great talent are not role models in the tennis pro world. As I watched all your tennis (on youtube) it seems that you fail yourself. Yes it is about confidence, but it is also about decipline. love what you do, and envy the play, but it seems you can do so much more.

      @@TenisAmador he has played 5 challenger events in his life. And all of them were in China where the entry level is much much lower. Being ranked 660, he would never get in qualies in Europe

      @@Sahbaz83I am aware of that, also looke at his profile. The fact the "level is lower" doesn't change the fact he has played in challengers recently. The points he wins there are the same he would win in Europe because.... it's a challenger.

      @@Sahbaz83 Wrong. He got a WC to the ATP250, the M1000 and to one challenger main draw (Guangzhou). He got directly accepted to the other challengers qualis (Shenzen, Shanghai, Zhuhai), including the one where he got through the quali and lost in the 1st round in the main draw.
