I know exactly what he’s saying at 15:01. There’s honestly no better feeling than winning a big 50/50 (or making a good play in general), resulting in a goal. I love the way my teammates and I look at the guy who does that and say “It started with you”
I listened to Matt's podcast with Da Costa. He use to be in Bazilian's team acedemy when he was young but after his dad died he just stop playing football. He came to US few years ago to study and he got the pro contract with Tulsa. If he kept playing pro from young age he would have been huge
I appreciate the connection Matt makes to previous matches (putting more air under defensive headers) and to current training (working more on early crosses).
This is amazing! I’m a right back and watching this is such good mental training especially since you are telling us what you are doing on the field and going into detail about it! Keep up the great videos man!
Matt I just checked the standings, aren't you like 3rd in the league? Do you think you can go to the major league with Tulsa? That would be pretty awesome. I watched your videos when you played in Germany in the 6th league and now you are in the second league. This is pretty amazing. If you make it to the first league you should make a movie of your journey. That would be prety cool to see.
Impossible, there is no promotion and relegation in America. Also, they're not third in the league, but in third in their conference (that is, kind of a regional group).
I kinda agree with the ref that your shoulder-to-shoulder is not fair, even though it is a shoulder challenge. The reason is that you weren't going towards the ball at the moment.
the 1st goal for Tulsa looks like the same opportunity you had earlier on (other side though) that you chose to pass on. We know you have the leg for a great shot. Shoot my friend, shoot. Great video as usual. I hope you make it to the booth or coach after you fill your trophy cases!
Definitely work on your crosses! Those early crosses are there, you will identify them faster and faster! Also don’t worry about your players in the box being shorter or not as stocky! If you aim for a more precise area where only your attackers can reach the ball, their speed on their feet will let them win the header. You’re doing good, but my 2 cents is to control the tempo when you have the ball, don’t rush your passes or touches, and don’t be afraid to be confident!
Everyone fails, don’t view your failures as failure but more a learning experience and eventually you’ll be sent off into the premier league or another european league one day just keep learning from your mistakes. One thing that’s different from european and American football is Europeans are more clinical and rarely make mistakes in terms of the big picture. Obviously they do but don’t do amateur mistakes like those in the MLS do
I just realized you play wit joaquin rivas el salvador player 🇸🇻🇸🇻. Is he a key player for your team ? And how is he as a teammate. He did good for us in gold cup
A defender asked me that recently as I am a winger. The best thing to do is to cover the inside and force him outside. What's more dangerous a shot on goal or a cross? If you force him outside and cover the middle his angle to goal becomes very bad. Also, be aware of where you have help from your teammates. If you have no help outside but a lot of help in the middle then block the outside and force him in the middle where you have help
@@CoachOlali exactly that, although even though the pro players know this, they always find it hard to do because neymars very good at feints and tricks that cause the defender to be unbalanced/ standing on his wrong foot, and then quickly cuts inside
If you think that’s a bad pitch you should come to kenya and play. 😂 I play in the 3rd tier and it’s a mix of Amateur Semi Pro and Pro teams. But even with the terrible grounds you make a mistake and teams capitalize with either a goal 🥅 or a very good chance created
It's makes more economical sense. Many times teams do not have the money to pay for their own field and maintain the field. So it's better to rent the field from other teams. Once you have a team that makes enough money from the games then it makes more sense to pay for your own field. Remember, soccer in the US is still a growing sport
@@CoachOlali yeah i understand that but i thought how its going to affect the game tho how it feels the part of the field what is originally baseball field has it more sand or sum is it more bouncy or what
I was going to ask how was the pitch, looks, sounds like it was pretty bad. Man, you are almost unbeatable on defense, physical and superior strength and speed. You may have the ability to drive towards the backline and cut it back out to a left foot cross or a pass at the top of the box. Good game!
Hey erm do you got any tips for rb? See I’ve been a cb for a long time but I’m moving to rb next season Cus of my pace so if u had any tips they would be greatly appreciated..

Hey man I saw your vids and I love them! I wanna go pro and not to be cocky but I feel as if I can do it because I think I’m one of the best player on my team from what I also hear from others. But the thing is I live in a small town in the middle of nowhere in a state no one cares about so how do I go about this?
They don’t have to be approved by FIFA 😂. They have to be approved by the league a team competes or by the football federation of that country… FIFA can’t be going around checking all the pro leagues around the world

How difficult is it to come up against a very skilful winger like a similar play style to neymar and what would you do if you were to play against him
