- These guys were brill. The Kava Boys made our long trip here, worth the travel. Even though this was a sad song, the vibes were chilled and the people were lovely. They're just good friends who meet up regularly and have a jam together. We hope they're all doing well and still drinking kava on the beautiful island of Tonga. It was common in the old days in Tonga for a warrior of lower class raking to go into battle with intent to die because they knew they could never be with the one they are in love with. The old ones used to say that you could tell who was madly in love. Because they fought with the most ferocity and no regard for their life. A beautiful death for the love of a warrior.

Beautiful song. This song is widely known throughout the Pacific. My old aunt and uncles from PNG still sing it when they get together for drink ups and family gatherings. Love the music and harmonies. Beautiful

I first heard the song sung by a Tongan female artist by the name of Tuimala and I loved it and it's still my favorite. Even though I'm not from Tonga but surely sound so beautiful and sweet. My heart tells me that it must have been a sad storyline.
