They had to separate John and Emily 😂
it was WAY too much fun to handle xD

Did not expect that all. 😂😂😂 Just a lovely couple as the trainer said.
"You're told women aren't supposed to have a lot of upper body strength. That's bullsh*t" See, I like this guy more and more.
Decades ago, when I started lifting, my (incredible trainer, Al Morgan) told me I had the "Strongest chest per pound he had ever seen." I personally know the Olympians he's trained. I love being this strong. And yes, I'm a woman. 4'11" and I lift more than most. Being strong is so important on so many levels.
Feminist weakling spotted lol
@@Peace-lr7mt Love it, well done :) I watched a Jujimufu video the other day with Stefi Cohen, deadlift world record of 402lbs at 123lb body weight. Strong women are amazing!
@@PieterDaniell Tbf though, naturally women have weaker upper body strength. But with training normally on par with anyone who works on upper body training (Could be either male or female.)
@@levi779 Highly disagree. Our bodies are different, we are different. You can't compare.
My wife just went: "you see, twelve weeks, how long have you been going to the gym already?" and immediately asked me "Do you want another fried chicken sandwich?"
Tell her to give me some that sounds good
I see why you married her. Does she have a sister?
Just gotta be strong enough to say no big boy. Training is almost as much mental as it is physical.
😄
she has to get some high quality drugs in that sandwich
A celebrity trainer that actually knows what hes talking about. Finally
If you don't have some understanding of muscle strength/hypertrophy training then how do you know what he's saying is true?
I do, thats why I made the comment that I did. And besides that point, the reason why I say that is cause he’s individualizing it based on reasons about the person. Muscle strength/hypertrophy isn’t black and white like the fitness industry likes to make.
Well maybe he kinda have but still its not possible without peds, but He kinda know what is he doing.
I just dont like that they set impossoble standards for naturals, i mean you rly wont gain 40 pounds of pure muscle in 12 weeks...
I saw vids on this guy, he really ain’t all that
Wow this guy really knows his stuff. No fluff and super professional. Wish he was my trainer.
@Dr. Loomis Almost...
luckyDancer100 same!!
Dr. Loomis Lmao very true. Except not all personal trainers are this professional.
I found it cute how nervous he is to be on camera. Hence the way he holds his hands
No, he doesn't.
Finally one of these trainers who actually seems to know his stuff. Not all that bs about airsquats and weird accessory exercises.
Are you telling me that doing jumping jacks for 10 minutes each day wont make me bench 500lbs??????
TheCooPeer no I'm pretty sure u can bench more with 500 jumping jacks
@@ArclightHD4K Nice!
Angus maybe no scientific vase for training twice, but it might be more of a mental thing?
As for the front squat into a OHP, you see it a lot in CrossFit so maybe he bases his training on that more than bodybuilding exercises
@Angus the scientific base is volume, they didn't have the time to fit all those workouts doing one a day. The squat to press is a really old movement that every sport athletes have done cause is a strength & conditioning move. One of the few that the crossfiters do right.
Brie Larson followed by Alison Brie. Confused me for a good second there.

Please excuse me for saying this but I interpreted your comment in a certain way and all I have to say is...Giggity! 🙊
Nice
It's almost as if they get along with one another like a husband and wife would
I wish I was rich enough to get a trainer such as this guy!!
The only difference between him and any other genuine one for a fraction of the price - is that he'll get you some HGH for the right price to achieve the impossible. seriously, you cant put on 40 lbs of muscle in 12 weeks. a biologist will explain that. however....some testosterone, calories and a crazy workout will definitely have a fighting chance.
you dont need a trainer to get fit💀
I wish I had someone holding a gun to my head to make me exercise regularly
Geoff Thompson it definitely wasn’t 40 pounds of muscle. Maybe 15-20 pounds of it was muscle at absolute MOST. If you listen to what he says, Bradley cooper just wanted to get big, not ripped.
Geoff Thompson You clearly didn’t watch. When did he say he put on 40lbs of muscle. He explicitly said he wasn’t getting him ripped.
Emily with the 70 lbs skeleton? I actually thought they would just put a light props especially with running and complex scenes.
This video is brief but very informative!!!
I think it was originally 125lb and when the first time she tried it on and succeed, she scared Tom Cruise. They had to lightened it down to 70lb because the length of the shooting though. Still like he said in the video you cannot fake how weight looks like when it's being lifted or in any motion, so it had to be heavy enough...
If you get the DVD it has a special about how heavy it was and how the main cast would go marching and running in them to make the movement ultimately more natural looking, especially if you look at the extras such a difference
Lmao my book bag for school weighs more 💪
Captain America faked not being able to lift Mjolnir so the other avengers didn't feel bad that they couldn't lift it. You can fake weight.

@@17-. it depends on which athletes and soldiers are you refering to. Greatest of all times,Michael Phelps, weighed "only" 195 lbs @ roughly 6'3. Olympic weightlifters can deadlift over 600 lbs even though they're below 170 lbs. As I understood, American soldiers tend to be on the buffer side. European soldiers are more focused on lean build and high stamina.

It’s crazy how guys like him are so educated with this stuff to the point where they just can assess someone’s plan given their goals.
He seems very passionate and assertive with what’s needed to be done, not enough trainers have that want for there clients. Good man
What stuck with me was the fact that he prioritises making sure that they're healthy and that injuries don't happen. I feel like sometimes, injuries are just seen as something that happens that people should just get used to, but it's a relief to see that he trains to build stamina and muscle, but also to keep the actors' bodies functioning!
Every trainer does that... why do you think trainer keep insisting on proper forms and postures.... you dont need an over paid trainer for this.

I’ve been training for years now and increasing weight has completely changed not only my body composition, but has made me feel so confident ☺️ don’t be afraid!

For those of you who don’t understand fitness: a lot of celebrity men’s training is steroid based. It’s impossible to add 40lbs of muscle in 12 weeks.
Nobody said it was 40lbs of muscle
dwiputra sam several sources (excluding this video) claimed that it was 40lbs of muscle. Plus the implication of this video is that it was 40lbs of muscle (which it obviously isn’t). That type of training in 12 weeks does not add that much size naturally, and it isn’t sustainable without the body breaking down.
@@MikeHawk04 i didnt quite get the same implication of the video as you although i agree most of them is on roids. but for me that doesnt take away their hardwork considering training twice a day is exhausting. (Sorry for the english)
Look at his arms. You can see that there is a lot of fat in his body
okay but he did say his body wasn’t used to that kind of training, if it were similar he wouldn’t have built as much muscle he had.
he also had little rest days while also keeping fat on his body, not all celebrity fitness trainers use steroids

I'm confused.. does the studio send the actors to the trainer? Or do the actors personally seek out the trainer particularly for the role?
I guess they seek out
Both? Like Brie Larson wanted him because of the training he gave to Emily Blunt, so I guess she asked the production company, they gave their OK, then she reached out, stating that she wanted to train for a role and the production company was xyz. I don't think anyone can come up to him and be trained like that, even if they are actors.
I think it's Both
Depends. If you're a nobody, then the trainer comes on your own dime in hopes you can break onto the scene. If you're a star, the studio will provide for you.
Ever hear the phrase "I know a guy who..." ?
That is sort of what Hollywood is, somebody (perhaps the assistant or direct or production team) will suggest said person.
It comes down to connections.
As for who pays for it? Maybe the actor, but the actor can write it off for tax purpose or send the bill to the studio.
this trainer is number 1 in my list ! kudos
This is awesome!
