Don’t think so , he came back strongly in 2003 World Cup against the likes of Waqar, Wasim and Shoaib . Even in 1999 Chennai test against reverse swing he scored 136 . 1999 World Cup he score close to 50 . He did well against Pakistan , of course he did better against Australia as they were best by leaps and bounds

Tendulya was a vocal opponent of Playing cricket againt Pakistan and this meant he never faced probably the best bowling unit of his era. His test average was lowest against Pakistan. Its a shame as this imposter is known for his 90 odd runs against Pakistan in 2003 ODI WC but by that stage Pakistan's best bowlers were past their prime!
O we don’t have to respect umpires decisions. They are human and fallible, which is why we have VAR now. Even with VAR, sometimes, there may be some errors, but far, far less than before. Sachin did get some bad decisions against him during his career, but so has many other players. But that’s not the point is it. Waqar got Sachin out LBW, three times in that spell. All these years later, doesn’t matter now. But the principle still matters. That umpire got three decisions wrong and that’s it. Enough said.
