The University of Miami is the worst for CFB considering how much else the program has going for it. The stadium is so far from campus that it’s impossible to draw a crowd unless Florida State is in town. People were only half-joking when they said Miami was the only school that saw an attendance increase in 2020.

@depressedginger. The only thing you got wrong about Pitt playing at Heinz Field or whatever it is now is that the stadium was actually built with the Pitt football team in mind and with input from the university of Pittsburgh. I have been to that city a few times and there really isn't a place to build another stadium. Duquesne plays football ( yes Duquesne has a football team that plays FCS Football. I learned that because they played my Vols last year. I was like.....WHAAAATTT??!! lol) on a hill over looking the Monongahela River squeezed in between some buildings with high school styled bleacher seating. And speaking of bad stadium situations. While not hosting a major pro or collage sports team. The Civic Coliseum in my hometown of Knoxville, TN (Go Vols) is as bad as any in the country. It was built in the 60's and is HORRIBLY small and outdated. The Knoxville Ice Bears Hockey team plays there. Knoxville has a metro population of almost 1 million people(1.2 M CSA), and have lost TWO minor league hockey teams to much smaller markets because of the arena situation. The Tennessee Smokies Double A Baseball team which will become the Knoxville Smokies is going to be moving into a state of the art new Multi purpose stadium with the One Knoxville USL Soccer team that basically is a mini Truist Park in the Old City of Downtown Knoxville. The city needs a likewise state of the art new municipal arena with at least 10-13 k seats for its Hockey team and other sports, events, and conventions ASAP!!! Also with the new proposed Vols entertainment district between Neyland Stadium and Thompson-Boling Arena, the Arena is in bad need of an exterior makeover. Neyland Stadium is in the midst of a 400 million dollar renovation and upgrade. The Arena needs it too! Neyland Stadium is beautiful looking from the Tennessee River TB Arena is horrible. That entertainment district is going to be🔥though. Think LA Live but for college!

In one respect, Temple's situation is better than either South Florida or Miami - the students can take the subway from campus to Lincoln Financial, which to some extent eases the burden of the stadium not being on campus.

  • @CreightonRabs

0:31 NYCFC can't get their stadium soon enough, but considering how long it's taken them to get their new stadium in Queens near Citi Field with all of the proposals getting , it's actually progress.
3:02 I seem to recall Temple proposing to build a football stadium close to campus, but residents in North Philly were strongly opposed to it. The Pitt situation is similar to Temple's, but Pitt and the Steelers also share a training facility on the South Side close to campus. Pitt has a far better relationship with the Steelers compared to the relationship between Temple and the Eagles. The old Pitt Stadium site was essentially redeveloped into an expansion of the sprawling UPMC health care campus and there's nowhere to build. Yes, it sucks not being able to play on campus, but a lot of kids from Western Pennsylvania might overlook that and jump at a chance to play at the Steelers' stadium.
7:05 New York City drags their feet on building a new NYCFC stadium... The state of Hawaii's government responds: "Hold my mai tai and watch this." Just embarrassing for an FBS program to be playing at a venue that's worse than some FCS stadiums.

I would’ve put pitt on here if you had usf and temple. But like temple they can’t build on their campus without knocking buildings down so they’re just screwed rn

    • @Darthplaguiesthewise
      @Darthplaguiesthewise ปีที่แล้ว

As a pitt student I disagree (I went to most of the football games). YES our attendance situation was pretty bad relative to the stadium, but when pitt plays psu, Clemson, wvu, or bigger schools, it does usually get good sales, and Pitt in my experience makes up most of the fans (although admittedly there is a higher portion of “other” fans than I’d personally like). The big thing is that the ACC doesn’t have names like bama or osu or like big colleges to have fans want to go to their games for football (acc is a mid football confrence). When we do, we usually have a solid crowd. Also, as a student, me and some friends went around campus looking for open space. Currently there is massive construction for a different typa sports venue, but when that’s done, there literally wouldn’t be anything. But I wouldn’t put it on this list. Plus, most of the fans at the wvu game were pitt fans (I was at the game). Pitt fans come to support if we are facing a team that we don’t like or is actually good at football. Plus temple and usf don’t sell out ever, and when pitt gets the chance to play someone known it does (or at least it breaks the Pittsburgh sporting record for attendance). Temple plays nobody schools cuz they’re part of the MAC. But that’s me getting defensive 😂, and honestly the same could be said for Miami and other power 5 schools playing in nfl stadiums

I checked the distances and wouldn't you know it, UPenn is like 2.5 miles from Temple's campus vs ~5 miles to LFF. Considering Temple almost never breaks 20k people for attendance, I think they could work out a sharing deal with UPenn's Franklin Field, Franklin Field is ~52k seats, almost 20k seats smaller than LFF, but considering Temple only gets 20k to begin with (and UPenn never breaks 10k), it's not like they're gonna break capacity are they? Not to mention, I'd like to think Franklin Field would be cheaper to rent than LFF.

Gary Bettman: Admit defeat with the failed Arizona experiment and move the team to Houston already. So obvious. Why would you not rather have a franchise in Houston instead of Phoenix.....? The fact it's 2023 and there's still no NHL team in Houston is ridiculous.

T.C Chang isn’t horrible actually. Great atmosphere there. Location isn’t the best I’ll admit but in whole the stadium isn’t bad.

Remove the track. Demolish the concrete stands. They could basically build an mls style stadium right there.

Steinbrenner's own the soccer team so why pay someone else to host games when you can do it at a place you already have some ownership rights

Idea for next video: international stadiums that could replace some of the current NFL ones and fit NFL teams if they were built in that city, like Wembley could be good for the 49ers if located in SF

The giants won’t allow the as to play at their park. That’s the whole reason why they are leaving. Territory issues. San Francisco owns rights all the way to Santa Cruz

You should have mentioned the Yale Bowl. Yale built the stadium for when they used to sell it out but now they get two ppl to a game in a 50k seat stadium. that or georgia tech in the old braves stadium.

Temple University sits surrounded by a residential area (the hood) of North Philly. They try to cram what they can in that space but its never gonna be stadium family unless they push people out. Same with Many big named artists play at a theatre called The Met but it's immediate area surrounding it is in a terrible space. Its not ideal for students but then playing at the Linc is for the best for now.

FC Dallas’s Toyota Stadium is bad. Should have addressed that. I don’t care for the open-air concourses. No protection from the rain and heat. FC Dallas needs a new stadium. Toyota is outdated.
