Pitre was also the only recruit who stayed committed to Baylor after the Art Briles scandal, as a Baylor fan I want a statue of Jalen in Waco, hopefully he'll need one in H-town too ;)
Really like his work in pass coverage, but the work he does in and around the LOS is phenomenal. Often wins his against bigger match ups with skills, speed and pure determination. Very excited for Pitre this season and beyond!!! THE FILM DON'T LIE!!!

Baylor used their Star a little differently then how you described here. They played him to the field as opposed to the strong side of the alignment

The coaches must know exactly what plays he’s going to be in. They have packages he’ll be in until he can prove that he can run with NFL WRs and don’t get caught flat footed on routes from a TE. I think he’s got some Honey Badger in there for sure though!
I can see him being used in the STAR a lot but also giving him reps in 2 deep and letting one of the other slot specialist play there depending on the package and assignments for the week. If Lovie wants to play a lot of cover 1 and cover 3 in tandem with his Tampa 2, there's a lot of hope for both Pitre, Harris and Stingley to be used properly. Hopefully we see Pitre and Harris blitzes though! Having Stingley should enable Lovie to be able to do more things (as he said himself).
I like the previous number rules, so I'd like Pitre to keep his given number 42 or other 40s he can also play as a LB.
To have the kind of expectations that people are placing on some of the guys the texans drafted is really not fair to the player and unrealistic, especially for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th round picks.
