How about the regional tour for about 5 years in the south. When I was starting out I had so many people help me with adjusting and how to play the lanes and what to do and what not to do. Bowlers at that level never ever want to see somebody not make it. We all want to go out there and make money and win

Huge fan of this video. Super interesting to see how you guys approach working on your gaps. I feel like I have been where you guys are at different points, whether it's I'm not sure what to do when I need to get out of my favorite/first balls like packy, or none of my equipment seems to be doing the right thing like kevin, or like mitch, trying to figure out how to play a different shape in a different part of the lane. Very useful and fun to see the thought processes and the keys you guys are looking for and how you bounce off of each other. Good luck for the rest of the season guys!

This was a great video. For someone that primarily bowls out on the regional tour, it’s hard to get a sense of what’s actually going on out on the lanes when you’re struggling and there’s times where I couldn’t paint the right picture and go home feeling clueless and not sure what I could’ve done differently. But seeing guys out on tour still making cuts but not quite making it in the the final rounds getting insight from ball reps to try and put the right shape in your hand at the right moment from the right angle is very informative and gives me something to think about for when I do take the next step to going out and bowling in some national events. Great job Matt and Packy. Continue to put out amazing content. I’ll be along for the ride.

Literally me... being a dummy for like 3 shots and then realising I'm too deep to make the shot work....just square up and pack the pocket for better hits. Finish the set for a high six hundred maybe a seven. I need to read my ball motion better during practice to mitigate this...

Keven, what about lofting your urethane a little bit more when you play further left? I’m talking about very small difference. With as much surface as you have on them they can get downlane a tad further, yet still be smooth, but still have a little more shape. Worth a try if you’re just not carrying. It also helps went the fronts are going but you still can’t throw reactive.

The difference between last year and this year is no Purple Hammer or Storm Pitch Blacks. Bowlers who leaned into those heavily in 2023 need to adjust to new balls and change their progressions. Easier said than done.

Oh that problem Keven mentioned about whether to be more upright or not irritates me, ill switch styles and go several weeks and its perfect and then suddenly its garbage and switching styles a bit just gives me that "new ball energy" and i'm back on form, so frustrating.
I think it comes down to be overly comfortable and going too fast. As soon as I switch styles i'm slower and my swing timing gets smoother.

This may have been the best content video yet. I anguish every week about which balls to take for league as at 66 years old, I am too old to schlep 6 bowling balls up and down 2 flights of stairs to my apartment. My go to balls as of late are an Outer Limits and a Piranha at 1000 grit for the lanes at Western in Indy. Innovator solid and and Bigfoot pearl make it into the bag as well. I have thrown the Cuda pearl but too snappy right now. Keep up the good work.

What about slowing it down? I know last night we had to slow it down from about 16mph at the deck to literally 14.50s off the spot.... I must have gone through every ball in my bag until I decided to back off it.... It was funky for a second...but I moved up and threw literally one-step drills on my spot and finished with a 7 bagger lol. It was either that or I was about to throw my spare ball right up the middle....

The BW 3.0 solid is a great ball for a stoker with less revs... for me it is 1 MPH slower than the Envy Tour but rolls close to the same with a continuous hook motion, but the 3.0 is a little snappier on the back end when its hits the dry and goes through the pins better. The 3.0 is very predictable and when I have to move in on a burnt lane with carry down it does not overshoot the pocket as much as the Envy tour does. When it starts to leave corner pins I switch to the BW 2.0 Hybrid with more speed and with the length through the mid lane it breaks harder at the break point and consistently hits more pockets for strikes. Pacman you should keep the Hammer BW 3.0 in your quiver.

Packy you go 15 right on the aproach every time you trow a reactive ball. You seem to need to start with weaker balls to have the ball more in front on you.
I never understood why you always open upbyour angles with EVERY reactive ball. Why is your shim somehere completely different than the rest of the lefties? 😅
I think you can find those balls. Open up angles on 90% of all reactive play is not the solution.
