Is this the man the government of Canada has charged or sued with squatting? If so, it breaks my heart even if he knew he was acting illegally according to law. I've really enjoyed watching his videos and have been envious.

My partner is G'witchin and is a member of the band who owns the land this guy is squatting on. Btw, I wasn't rubbernecking. I was stuck in a mile-long traffic jam!!

I've been up at the camp mostly, I continued filming all winter but took a little break from social media and just enjoyed the bush. Its alot to always be going back to town for service really took away from the whole experience.
What about permits? Land ownership? Deeds? Aside from the legalities of ownership or proof with a land deed if you are squatting on someone else's land, it's only a matter of time before you are detected, and all your work will be for nothing because you will be forced to move. We are assuming you own this land or have rights of ownership. Hope you are not encouraging others to squat or 'take' someone else's land. If you are squatting or do not have ownership/deed, you are not providing ANY ONE with solid advice or good deeds. Just because you THINK land is yours or that it is not owned.....does not make it fact. Sure hope you own this portion of land and that you are not misleading your 'followers' into consequences they will regret without land deeds/rights/permits/etc. BESIDES ALL THE LEGAL 'STUFF'..... You do know you could have been warmer with your tent INSIDE the framework of that cabin. Heck, you could have been warmer inside the wooden frame without being any chinking. Wood is warmer than canvas. Just making a mention here. You put yourself through several months of really cold when you could have been just a little warmer. You were not 'thinking'. Another "NOTE": Moss should not be 'taken' in large chunks in small areas. Better to spread out and gather moss from various areas so that it will recover quickly and prevent erosion when snow melts and rain comes. Need to look at the picture in a larger frame. I truly hope you have purchased this bit of land and have any and all permits you need. A word to everyone who is even thinking about doing something like this. KNOW YOUR TERRITORY. KNOW THE LAWS. BUY A PARCEL OF LAND. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE PERMITS FOR ANYTHING THAT MIGHT BE REQUIRED.
