Kratos literally destroyed the entire Greek Pantheon in one game! He fricking ripped Helios’ head off and used it as a gotdam LANTERN. Of course Odin would be scared of Kratos...
@@bloodangel19 go talk to Zues why don’t you, Odin from the looks of it is a proper up god that isn’t even immortal his only strength is knowledge and while he may get some power ups because of it he still can avoid the future. No matter how hard he tries you can’t stop a god as powerful as kratos.
Odin is scared His sons: why are you scared of some mortal Kratos: *brutally killed every greek god as well as titans and hells army* Odin: i dont wanna talk about it
I literally just got why Odin sent Baldur to Kratos' house on the day of his wife's funeral in the first place. Odin knew from his prophecies that Kratos and Atreus were going to go to Jotunheim, a realm that in the game he's long sought to grind under his heel but has been locked out of, so he sent Baldur to find how they intended to get there and bring it back to Asgard so Odin could use it for himself.
Mmm, it doesn't explain why Baldur did not know who Atreus and Kratos were. If Odin knew the prophecy, he wouldn't send Baldur, who was prophesized to die under the hands Kratos and Atreus. The highly likely reason here why they were sought after by Odin is because they were following Faye's ashes' tracks, which were revealed only when the barrier of trees Faye made was chopped down by Kratos. Odin only sought to go to Jotunheim, since he was ever power and knowledge hungry as Mimir have described and probably knew that he can learn more about Ragnarok using the giants' murals (which Kratos and Atreus did learn a bit about) But since he did not know of the Giants' prophecies, he was not able to warn Freya, Baldur, or do something about it. In fact, it is so weirdly not part of the plan, that it even shocked Mimir, who said that Fimbulwinter isn't due to come anytime soon. So, this shows Odin is as clueless as us in terms of Kratos' involvement in their pantheon's demise.
@@Vekcrazah This is Odin we're talking about. He trusts no one and his secrets have secrets. Do you really think he'd tell his second-favourite son, let alone his bitter ex-wife and ex-counselor who he tortures for fun, anything more than what they absolutely needed to know?
@@furioussherman7265 still though, he'd do anything for the sake of stopping Ragnarok. If he knew that Baldur is going to die in the process of him knowing how to go to Jotunheim, then it defeats his purpose of wanting to go to Jotunheim in the first place. He wants every bits of knowledge to stop Ragnarok. If he knew the prophecy, he's smart enough to avoid aiding to the hastening of Ragnarok. So, It makes sense for Odin to not know about the prophecy of Baldur's defeat at all
@@Vekcrazah Again, this is right up Odin's alley. He's always trying to think four steps ahead of allies and enemies alike, and sacrificing people to achieve his goals is practically a hobby for him. All Odin really cares about is that Baldur gets for him the knowledge on how to get to Jotunheim. Whether Baldur lives or dies in the process is irrelevant so long as Odin gets what he wants. Of course he didn't, so there's that, but all that means is that Odin's going to come up with a new approach involving Thor like what Atreus' dream foretold, a move that reeks of another thing right up Odin's alley: Desperation when things don't go according to plan. I think Odin might have foreseen Baldur's death, but he definitely didn't expect it to happen without first acquiring the knowledge he wanted so that he could conquer Jotunheim and add its resources and magicks to his war chest in preparation for Ragnarok. He didn't plan to end up with a total loss, so he'll send in his heaviest hitter in hopes of quickly fixing the problem before it's too late.
@@furioussherman7265 here's the thing. He always thinks four steps ahead of everyone, because he is fighting against Ragnarok. Mimir himself says that. All of his decisions are all revolving around either world domination, or the conquering of Ragnarok. And the reason why he wanted to go to Jotunheim in the first place, is to gather knowledge about Ragnarok. With that out of the way, I absolutely agree that to Odin, Baldur's life is nothing. And though he does not know the prophecy the giants pained on their mural, it is a well known prophecy that upon Baldur's death, Fimbulwinter, and by extension Ragnarok, arrives. He may not care for the life of Baldur, but he cares for what comes after. And if he truly knew about the prophecy the giants made on Baldur's defeat, he wouldn't do that even if it gained him access to Jotunheim. Because the entire reason he is going to Jotunheim in the first place is because he is ever planning to stop Ragnarok. So in this case, Baldur's, and everyone else's life who is linked with the Ragnarok's chain of events, is equally as important to him now.

@@loganhdforlife2809Actually it was confirmed that it was Kratos (complete pale skin and bald) since when did Mimir have no horns when Atreus was alive plus he only has a head, Kratos will die in the future we just don't who will kill him, and I'm predicting Odin
@LZend Even if Mimir has fake horns, he's not really that pale, yeah I know the game hasn't been confirmed yet but it's obvious that were getting another god of war game, and I personally don't think Kratos will die in god of war 5 but could die in the 6th game to end the god of war series, because what's next after the norse gods are dead
He has every reason. Mimir was shocked when he found out that he was “The Ghost of Sparta!” They clearly knew of Kratos and what he has done. Imagine when they were able to realized who Baldur was up against all along. Most of the game they thought he was the giant they were looking for.
This man murdered an entire pantheon that literally determined the laws of physics in that realm. Fear is a understandable response to learning The same man is in your home
Thor: Father, a man called Ghost of Sparta has entered the realm. Do you want me to take of him? Odin: Yeah, son, you do that, I'll go and get some milk
In real norse mythology Loki is killed by a god but kratos isn't in the mythology I believe he will sacrifice himself to save Atreus and Atreus will finally gain the Spartan rage and unlock the power of his Grandfather's Greek Lightning. He will also spawn the World Serpent. But I think Kratos will return he is a cursed Immortal.
@@mfirdanhb wtf he never really killed any God in fact he don't even exist in mythology🤣, are you talking about the game that the writer wrote himself?

@@andytaylor8795 Thor literally told him that he knows his ghost of sparta allias and what he did. He even tells him " this is the men that killed a pantheon because they hurt his feelings"? They are well aware who Kratos is and what he has done.
In the Novelization for the game, I believe it's stated that Odin actually saw a glimpse of the Jötunheimr mural, and since Mimir knows about Kratos, that means that Odin and the rest of the Norse Gods must've heard about the Marked Warrior who singlehandedly nuked the Greek Pantheon, so yes, Odin absolutely has every right to be afraid of Kratos.
They wont kill atreus cause he is literally loki and in Norse mythology it says that odin killed Loki's father but could not bring himself to kill loki so he instead adopted Loki aka atreus

Nice to meet a fellow Zachary
Thor to Odin: Ragnarok will decide our fate
Kratos from a distance: I am Ragnarok
Not yet!
Odin only sought to go to Jotunheim, since he was ever power and knowledge hungry as Mimir have described and probably knew that he can learn more about Ragnarok using the giants' murals (which Kratos and Atreus did learn a bit about)
But since he did not know of the Giants' prophecies, he was not able to warn Freya, Baldur, or do something about it.
Of course he fears Kratos, the man alone declared war on olympus and the titans, and won.
Thor: "Who is that Father?"
Odin: "Its... Baba Yaga"
"your fate is sealed once a red glowing circle appears above you"
