Not necessary. First of all: new buildings can be incredible soundproof. And second: if there is no emergency, fire trucks don´t use the siren. And even if there is an alarm, they normally only start the siren, when they need it. (In case of high speed and a crossing, and so on.). I worked a few years close to a fire station in a small city. Where there is very little fire alarm. In two years i heard them once. And then i just closed the window. And didn´t heard them anymore.
