Aur han treatment plants, Big ROs all are limited to a selected few towns and cities they have not reached rural areas yet. Tere delete ka intezar rahega.

Unfortunately none of the govts. ever bothered to work on war footing level to resolve this decades old issue with honesty. Baki is desh me jitne log nahi hai utne sarkari schemes hai, aur un schemes ki ground reality kya hai wo desh ka bachha bachha janta hai unless wo kisi political party ya neta ka andhbhakt ya chamcha na ho. 🙏

However, if I understand it correct, it could have been an extension to the earlier project announced by late prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji, and was resurrected by the UPA government in 2004. The earlier project was to interlink the rivers in India to ensure that water resources could be managed better for irrigation and other daily usage.
Highly appreciate Hridyesh joshi's eloborate report on such a health risk to lakhs of people. It is an eye opener on issue and how government is dealing with it.
This is so heartbreaking 💔, couldn't even complete the whole documentary. Even though I might be from a lower middle class family but I feel so privileged for fresh drinking water out of tap. I hope government looks into. And grateful to newslaundary for telling this story to rest of nation 🙏

Team Newslaundry, you are doing expecptionally well....The problem of groundwater contamination with heavy metals is of serious concern, even in Madhya Pradesh, few districts are facing the issues of floride and arsenic in ground water. Its a shame for India that such problems still exist in our country....Public Health Engineering Departments (PHE) are highly underperforming at rural regions of the nation.
This problem is so big and important but I guess Godi Media won't report about it. The basic necessity of life is not give to a person is a crime and every level of govt should be responsible for it. Wonderful documentary from NL team. Keep on doing the good journalism.

NL extremely thankful to bring out this Arsenic poisoning of drinking water of rural India. My humble request please dig out why IITs of India never worked on such and similar problems affecting on a daily basis the rural Indian masses. I am bringing this out before NL team as I am an IITD alumni where I have spent 10 years as a student, researcher, and a scientist. In those 10 years or even today on bringing to light with IITD authorities some such problems I found it has no interest and intention to work on any of over dozen problems conveyed to them by email. I will be more than happy to help for making your such an episode.👌💕🔥🇮🇳🙏
very unfortunate that these type of issues hardly coved by mainstream media and governments. Educating common people and solving these problems propably takes years in India
It reminded me of my days in India in the 80's when such ground reports would be telecasted on the only available channel - DoorDarshan. It is so important and yet so ignored issues in the country as political parties and so called Godi channels are busy dividing masses for their TRP's completely ignoring the general populations real problems. There should be loud and high pitched debates on the 9PM shows for such issues and those responsible for ignoring them for decades.
