The Dream Journey - Discovering musicians across Pakistan (A Non Profit Project)
This project will be the sharing of a special experience in which we hope you will want to participate.
Some of the musicians are established and famous, others are among the brilliant budding talent that adorns Pakistan’s musical scene. Each of the mehfils has a distinct atmosphere and mood, but there is a common thread. We asked each of the musicians to stay close to their respective inherited musical traditions, allowing the singers an opportunity to present some pieces that are rarely heard today.
We are inspired to present the brilliance of this contemporary Pakistani vocal music to a wider audience and seek your financial assistance in making this possible.

Uth jaag musafir has special connection with me, my mom used to sing this to awake us in my childhood and now I am listening to great artists.
Same… except it was my Grandma! And no matter who sings it, no one can beat my grandma (at least for me) when it comes to this song! I can give anything to anyone just to listen her sing this song, even if for a minute!
@@maitremridul My Paternal Grandmother used to sing another song, it was regional yet very soothing.
I wish more people come to this side of 'reality'. Personally, for me, music has always been a metaphysical experience and i thank Rohail Hyatt for making me realise it.
All of this started with the blessed voice of Hazrat Dawood AS and is still going on.

An absolute masterpiece! My respect for Farid Ayaz Sahab and Abu Muhammad Sahab grows with each new piece I hear. Such depth of meaning and bhaav. People like us can only strive to bring such emotion in whatever we do. The translation too adds such a beautiful colour to the lyrics. The work that The Dream Journey is doing will last for generations to come!
The right word is 'Sakaare' not 'Sukaare' . even today 'Sakaare' is very commonly used for 'early morning' in the region (Etah , Budaun etc) where Hazarat Amir Khusro was born. Singing of Ustad jee is incomparable , thanx for uploading this classic piece.

What a beautiful composition. Farid Ayaz at his finest. Just one correction is needed. Vidhna is not the goddess of night but it represents Lord Brahma and eternal series of events that are bound to happen no matter what.
Can I ask what the eternal series is? Or what the events are? Thanks
@@zm7430 what I meant to say that Hindu philosophy states that what ever that has happened, whatever is happening or whatever will happen is already predecided by Lord Brahma, the Supreme Creator, who is also known as Vidhi or Vidhana. By the Eternal series of events I meant these predestined path of the universe as a whole.

I am an Indian who found this version of "Uthh Jaag Musafir" while searching TH-cam for the version Mahatma Gandhi loved. As someone who deeply loves Farid Sahib and Abu Muhammad Sahib, this fortuitous discovery made me greatly happy. However, can anyone please enlighten me as to who has penned this rendition? The traditional version is, of course, different; but I like this better. I would be really grateful if someone could apprise of this version's genesis.

Hi @TheDreamJourney, great fan of the work that you're doing. There's just one suggestion that I'd like to share. I have observed in some of Ustad Farid Ayaz's Dream Journey videos that even though he is sitting on the right side from the camera perspective, his audio is processed to come in the left channel. In my opinion, it'll be a better overall audio-visual experience if the audio channels for Ustad Farid Ayaz sahab and Ustad Abu Muhammad sahab are reversed or centred in post. That's just my opinion and felt like sharing it.
Keep doing the great work and keep blessing us with these gems!
