Eliza - You can buy kits pretty reasonably if you shop around. Ollie's offers them for $5 and Hobby Lobby at a 40% discount with a coupon. With respect to lack of time, I suggest you read my article "Want to Build More Models"? in the current issue (Jul/Aug 2017) of the IPMS USA Journal. You can get them as back issues from their site. very nice kit i did mine in Metallic green by tamiya # ts-20 i dechromed it all exept for the wheels eliminated the front and rear bumpers inside and outside door handles and gas filler
Gary - occasionally we do some detailing but not too much. We try to show how the kit is built and where there are issues and leave the really detailed stuff to the experts. But if you subscribe and watch the videos regularly you'll find some great detailing tips too! Check out the Playlists for the one's you like -Doug
JM, It's a nice kit to build. Follow the steps in the review here for some guidance. I usually start by painting all the body parts to give them time to dry before assembly, followed by the motor, chassis and interior. Hope that helps. Have fun! Roast, if it's a location issue, you have something that wasn't fully seated or located that may need to be removed and installed again. Look for high contact points and remove material or reinstall. Hope that helps! PS, please subscribe if you haven't already to help us reach more modelers. -Doug
@Right On Replicas wow it's already been 16 hours. Unreal. My hobbie is RC cars/planes. I want this body to fit on top of my scx24 is why I was asking. I'll make it work one way or the other it's already purchased. Actually looking forward to putting it together, I might do it with my kids.
@@RightOnReplicas i was thinking about using the foose parts on the panel truck instead of the pickup truck since they are the same truck the interior and drivetrain should fit. Really enjoy the builds btw

Doug, what is that rough paint? I heard you say flat black, but I'm not familiar with a paint that gives it that rough look.
Rock - It's just flat primer but it has an over spray of matte clear that makes it look textured under the lights! -Doug
