    I love that you are acknowledging your worry of eating alone whilst telling yourself that you know you can do it. We are our own cheerleaders! I love people watching and tend to fall into that when eating alone - I also end up listening to other peoples conversations! However I usually end up doing that even when I’m eating with someone else😅

    Hey Lucille. You have such a lovely manner and that goes a long way in a PA/admin role. I would suggest you link some of these videos to your CV to show prospective employers your character and tech skills. I now work as an EA but before that retail management for years, so it is definitely possible to make that jump. I’m happy to help with building your CV, or writing a cover letter etc ☺️

    With going out for dinner on my own, I usually just stick my AirPods in and watch some TH-cam or Netflix whilst waiting for my food. It was uncomfortable at the start but something I genuinely love doing now! It’s guaranteed that you’re going to feel a bit awkward at the start, but I promise you’ll end up really liking it!

      Hey Sofie, thanks for the super helpful comment. I was definitely thinking of taking my earphones with me and watching TH-cam or something as it'll help distract me. I think once I do it a couple of times it'll get easier 🤞x

    Hey girl,
    Was really nice to sit with you and listen to you chat. I’m not too well again, I think it’s what I had a few weeks ago. I grabbed a cuppa and watched your vid. Im so excited for you to get away, have a nice break even more so now as your job isn’t the greatest. I’m so sorry people are just vile 🫶🏼
    Best of luck with finding a new job, the perfect role is out there for you ❤️❤️ xxx

    I’m just gonna throw this out there bc you’re very much like me. I have recently found myself teaching special needs high school students and they’re incredible and the job is amazing. I understand you can’t be a teacher, but I work with tons of EA’s (in Canada we call them that, you might have another name) but they basically help them out but do zero teaching etc. It is generally very low stress, it’s fun, it’s rewarding and pays well in our school system :) summers off too! Hehe

      @@lucille6888 Hi Lucille, I work in HR Administration and love it. The role involves preparing all the administration for new starters joining, sending letters confirming job changes like promotions, salary increases and processing people leaving the company. No two days are ever the same working in HR. Plus, no weekend work 😉 I agree, you’d be great at it X

    I really hope you get to go to Majorca I’m sure you’ll have a great time.
    Also great advice about moving out for the first time on you own and sticking with it. I’ve just finished my first year at university and it was so difficult for me to move out of my family home and go into a flat on my own (in halls) but I stuck with it but I slowly got used to it. X

      I would love a job in finance admin as I'm quite good with numbers and I have experience working in the cash office in my current workplace. Did you have to have any qualifications or specific experience to get into it? 😊x

      @@lucille6888 I didn’t! Came straight from customer services so very similar backgrounds . Really tailor you CV to be very finance orientated so bring all that to the top of your skills list. If you’ve had much contact with your suppliers too definitely include that. Agency’s can be really good helping with finance jobs and normally a lot easier to get in through them. So definitely reach out to a few! Best of luck

    Hey! I went to uni and studied Psychology and since university I've not done anything related to my degree so I really don't think its fair for people to comment on the fact that you never went to uni - it's not really helped me at all! I did an Admin Apprenticeship within the NHS which paid fairly decently and gave me a specific qualification which has been more useful that my degree. Also I'd say most entry-level admin roles you can get into without much direct experience, recruiters just like to see generic skills like teamwork, communication etc that retail definitely gives you! So I'd say you would definitely be able to do something like that :) xx

    • @lucille6888
      @lucille6888  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think apprenticeships are great. I did a childcare apprenticeship when I left school and although it turned out to not be the career for me, I loved getting hands on experience whilst studying. 😊x

    I think you’d make a good nursery worker or teaching assistant

    • @lucille6888
      @lucille6888  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I worked as a nursery practitioner for a few years. I have the qualifications so I could go back to it if I ever wanted to, but I enjoy doing social media and it's kind of frowned upon when you work in a school or nursery as I think they prefer you to put all your social media profiles on private. I enjoy making videos too much so I wouldn't want to have to sacrifice that for a job. 😊x

It’s so difficult at any age to know what to do. I know a lot of people here gets an appointment at a careers counselor. They can be expensive but a good one of them is worth it. Also you may be get some back to school grants xxx
