Black Gold '68 Camaro

- Painting a new front end for the car known as "Black Gold". Everything that would normally be chrome is painted in gold. The car was previously painted by someone else and luckily the owner was able to get me all the paint info. Paint info listed below.

Gold -----------24K Gold Tri-coat PPG 908359 (Base), 908359/2 (Mid coat) THIS IS AN OBSOLETE FORMULA FOR THE MID COAT. The mix I used is as follows for 1 Pint
DMX210 Yellow (radiance dye) 31.6p
PRLX7 Copper Pearl 1.8p
PRLX5 Green Pearl 10.0p
DBC500 Color Blender 462.9p
Dark Carbon Color---------Pot of Gold Basecoat PPG 908331 MIXED (1:1) with the 9700 Black
Grey Mixing the black and white at a mix of 80.0p black with 60p white.
Clearcoat-----------PPG Vibrance VC5700 - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
If it wasn't obvious, this guy is not a painter or a bodyman . He is an artist with a vision. I hope he gets paid a lot for those one of a kind masterpieces
Pretty much the same comment I was gonna make. cracks me up how he describes it like any other how to video... ,..... pretty sure that after watching this I'll be able to able to go out to my garage and paint like Davinci and Rembrandt on my hood and bumpers..... so much talent and skills....

The time to lay all of that out is insane, the grill is a piece of art, the black gold carbon fiber, laying all of that out at the perfect angle is just crazy, this is SEMA quality, and when you are done it looks like glass, stunning. I still can`t believe how clean the tape comes off, do you know what a mess I would make of just that, crazy talent my friend.

I'm late to the party, but this is next level. Proper artistic talent and attention to detail. The longer I watched the more captivated I became. The amount of intricate work involved is mesmerising, and the finished product, wow! I'm almost upset knowing that most people will never fully appreciate the extent of work involved. Ended up here watching car paint vids for ideas for my own muscle car never expecting to see anything like this. Thanks for a great vid!
