    In this video, I review the Wotancraft Pilot Travel Camera Backpack. This backpack is designed for photographers and videographers who need a stylish and durable backpack to carry their gear. I put the Pilot through its paces over the past week, and while I was impressed with much of it, the lack of space for larger gear was a bit challenging.
    The Pilot is made from high-quality materials, and it's built to last. It's also very comfortable to wear, even when it's fully loaded. The backpack has a variety of compartments to store your gear, and it's easy to access everything you need.
    I also like the Pilot's sleekurban design. It's stylish enough to turn heads but doesn't screma camera bag. If you're looking for a high-quality camera backpack that can handle the rigors of travel, the Wotancraft Pilot is a great option.

    I wonder if you can remove all the dividers in the bottom section to fit a SL2 with a 100-400 attached. The specs say 10.6 inches interior which is what the Leica SL2 with a 100-400 measures. I’d like to have my SL2S with a 28-70 in the top section and my SL2 with the 100-400 in the bottom because I shoot in windy and dusty areas and don’t want to change lenses. I love my Pilot 7L. Having a matching backpack would be nice.

      You can remove parts to fit the SL2 with 100-400 from what I understand. It’s quite modular but you wouldn’t know it out of the box so to speak

    I've been using the 3.5L & 7L Pilots for sometime now and just love them. The Pilot 18L looks like something great for island excursion's and such that I go on.. Thanks Bobby...

    Firstly thanks for the great review !
    I already have the pilot 7L and 10L massager bags which are really great (and this one are the only bags which convinced me to give up the decades of using Domke's) and looking to replace my backpack with this Pilot 18L , but a practical question
    Because I like to take small/medium sized Backpacks as Personal Items on Flights , however the most of the airlines have a max High restriction of 40 cm (15,7 inches) and this pilot 18L has a High of 45cm (17,7 inches)
    QUESTION ==>> provided of course that the Backpack is not fully / heavy loaded and without the top camera insert could this Pilot 18L be squeezed in order to pass a max High of 40 cm (15,7 inches) check ?

      Thanks for the kind words. I think you will be fine. I’ve carried bags bigger than this on a plane no issue

    Took the partition from my other wotancraft sling and set it up horizontally as you mentioned.
    Fits canon R6ii & R3 with small prime lenses 50 & 16 attached along with the giant 28-70 & ef 135. Top section still empty, which I put a rs3 mini gimbal along with a speedlight.
    So technically it can fit 2 bodies 5 lenses, but definitely needs more partitions, which you can just use it from your other bags.
    Was waiting for more reviews and pulled the trigger when your review came out, keep on the good work!

      Thanks for watching. Yes just got more partitions from Wotancraft to fit more gear inside

      I have the 2.5L and the 7L so I'm also going to just use those dividers in this backpack when I get it since I won't be using both bags at the same time anyway. I like the idea of the lenses sitting on their side in the outside access pockets, seems like they'd be just a bit easier to access.

      Just used it on a shoot today, full gear plus laptop, still very comfortable on the shoulders.

      Will the bag be able to fit a Sony A7RV attached with 24-70 GM II, along with a 16-35 f/4 and 70-200mm 2.8 zoom in bottom camera portion of the bag, without using the top section ?

    I think you can partition the side pocket into bookshelf components for multiple lenses or cameras like Peak Design bag.

      Yes you can 👍

    Looks good. I'd use the side access for my XT5 and use the top of the bag for extra lenses.

      Will work well with fujifilm gear, especially due to the size of the cameras and lenses

    Just picked this up from Leica at MBS. They sell it with the waist strap already installed. Shame because I won’t ever use it and I’d rather it be $30 less or come with something else more useful. I like that it comes off though and that you can also detach the sternum strap because I’ll never use that either. Also when us “mere mortals” buy it, it doesn’t come all set up like yours. 😂 All the pads and dividers are just stuffed in the top pouch. They have also switched out or changed a couple of them. Those two small ones in the top are different (more like peak design ones) and the large one is thicker. It takes a bit to get it set up like you want it but it’s still a solid day bag.

      Yes I have the waste strap as well but took it off. Never really use them. Haha yeah they sent me all the attachments for the review to highlight it. It takes some time to set it up accordingly but once you dial it in, it’s a solid bag

    Interested in checking out the bag but you have no link to it in the description? No mention of pricing? I guess I will google it, I just like to support the channels when I can 😅

      It comes in two colors as well. I’ll put this in my description and this is direct to the website btw. Will try and work out something with them for an affiliate link. Thanks again for the support

    I’d be pretty worried about someone still subtly unbuckling those outside back pouches. Or at least unzipping and grabbing whatever out of them. Not sure I’d use them

    • @btonelli
      @btonelli  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      To do it takes effort. You really need two hands

      I just ordered this backpack and I'm going to just add a few tactical D-Ring carabiners to the side Molle straps and then attach them to the zipper pulls. I have their 7L shoulder bag and a few other Wotancraft bags and they're easy to secure with a few carabiners. I'm looking at this for international travel and love that it can be secured and enhanced with a few items from Amazon. Also, I wouldn't attach all the other pouches to the outside for the travel I do but they're nice to have. Sometimes I may add one but it only has snacks in it.

      @btonelli  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good idea. For my daily use I only use one or no pouches depending on the need

    Maybe it looks better in person but in the vid it looks terrible.

      It’s a good Looking bag in person, but more utilitarian in the look of it vs luxury. However the materials, clasps etc are top notch
