Anubis is not only my favorite perfume of this house, but my current favorite perfume across all perfumes. For me it’s absolutely surprising and captivating from first sniff and immediately fell in love. I enjoy every single moment of its development and it lasts forever.
I love this house , I need to pick up tobacco rose asap. Salome is still my favourite from them , and Bengal rouge is divine too. Interested to hear your thoughts on these 🍀
Funny that you put up Anubis and Salome as most challenging as I fell in love with Anubis as well followed by Salome and I find an underlying similarity between the two. Although Jasmin is the only note common to both, the burnt smokey suede accord is there for both. Love your work Sebastian!
If I love Absolue Pour le Soir, would I love Salome and Anubis? I really like cumin and honey notes, and skanky musks, and every other type of skanky animalic notes. I'm on the look-out for APlS substitutes, since I can't find APlS on the MFK website anymore. I'm anxious it may have been discontinued - eek!!
Wow, another new house...it’s incredible how many house you’ve introduce me to and continue to make me aware of. This house sounds very complexed in a great way...wow! I have to try these.
I never thought cumin was a challenging note for me until I smelled Salome. I love everything about that fragrance except the strong cumin note in the dry down. I definitely pick up on that headshop incense vibe it gives off which I like very much. Haven’t had a chance to sample any others yet, but this video has me intrigued to try the rest
Great video, Sebastian! I own all except for Angelique which never really impressed me. Dryad was the last one to purchase. It’s creamy, green, chypre, but not your regular chypre. It smells complex, multilayered, slightly balsamic. It’s nothing like Salome which is a chypre, too. Anubis is probably my favorite, however, it’s a tough choice. It’s always dependent on the mood! :-)
I’m torn between Anubis and Bengale Rouge. The latter was what I was sure I would purchase over the summer. But in trying it again this Fall, the dry down is too powdery and honeyed. Lots of honey which I’m not a fan. Leaning strongly toward Anubis now.
I really enjoy Liz's work. I currently have Anubis, Dryad & Tobacco Rose. I like that she seems to take her time creating her fragrances, not just churning out mediocrity💜

I sampled a few, Bengale Rouge is my favorite by far, like a mix of Opium pour Homme and Coco.

I think that this is my overall Favorite house. I could easily own 4- right now I have 2: Dryad & Bengale Rouge but I lust for both Anubis & Salome!❣️

Dryad is probably one I'll pick up and leave Angelique behind. Anubis is a smoky beast and yes you need to wear it with the right mood for sure! :)
