- In this video I take a look at the 1.2j topic of Bidirectional Forwarding Detection (BFD). BFD is a lightweight UDP-based protocol used for fast forwarding path failure detection. I'll discuss the advantages of BFD over traditional protocol timers, and look at a configuration example with OSPF.

I swear I have never seen a video with such detailed information
Please continue making such videos 🙏🏻
Very good explanation! Thank you!
Amazing work! People like you really motivate others to move on with this highly cumbersome learning
For some reason my BFD neighbors stay down even though I have OSPF and its running on all interfaces. Anyway dude your channel is a GOLDMINE! I wish you continued this series.
I re created the lab without the switch now it works. I'll try and add BFD to the switch next time to see if that was the problem.
Great video. I was lucky to find your podcast about BFD, which brought me here. This topic is also part of the DCCOR blueprint. Thank you.
Thanks very much for the kind words, and for checking out the channel!
Thank you Charles.
Thanks, very clear video!
Amazing content, thanks Charles :)
Fantastic, highly appreciated
Very Cool
Awesome
i am going to assume that when you apply the passive-interface command, this would stop the passive interfaces from participating in the bfd peership?
you have a Kevin Wallace accent, but better, lol
