quiet and highly reverberated vocals are a stylistic choice that is common in the shoegaze genre. if you listen to bands like my bloody valentine the vocals are washed away in the mix with the other instruments and aren’t really upfront like other genres

This song reminds of this. It's currently beautiful in that way to me. It's a perfect balance of "I want you to last more" and "I know you do, but you will never be happy if you're only happy as briefly as I last".
