The lady you interviewed was my great-grandmother. She has since passed on. I was raised by her son. Raised by my grandparents on Moose Factory Island. Now, have moved away to be an airline pilot. Been flying for 26 years now. Moose Factory will always be my home. Beautiful place with so many stories.
LoL 😂 all the moose related stuff!! Yet seen none except for a thief like red fox!! Hey thank you very much for showing since I dare not even dream about being that far let alone going!! 😂
I have wanted to go to Moosonee for a long time and I will eventually make it happen. I've been as far as abitibi canyon on my bike and up the east side to chisasibi but there's just something intriguing about moosonee.
No. The roads don't go anywhere close to the Ontario far north! In winter, there are ice and winter roads that do go far up, but only for 2 to 3 months!
I never been to Moosonee, though been to and through western Canada and the way to and from Alaska. The furtheist north I been was Fairbanks, Alaska which happens to be further north than all of Hudson Bay.

May she rest in peace. I bet it must feel different returning to the area.

Great video. Planning going there soon.
How far can you drive north in Ontario? Can you make it all the way to the top without taking the train. How about by train?
