How much do you want to bet the #1 offense in 2013 was either Alabama or Florida State?

as far as im concerned auburn needs to just stop doing radio broadcasts. Because somehow or another, Auburn managed to get lucky enough to have two legendary play-by-play guys in a row, Jim Fyffe and Rob Bramblett--both tragically dying unexpected deaths. I just cant stand to listen to Auburn radio broadcasts anymore. They sound like everybody else's broadcast. Auburn was always unique. jim Fyffe had his "touchdooooown aubuuuuuurn" , and then Rob Bramblett took it, didnt miss a beat, and could pull a catch phrase out of the ether when the situation called for it. Maybe was even better in alot of peoples' eyes. But both of them had style, radio charisma and quick wit--and werent afraid to speak thier minds. Back then, you could be 3 football fields away from a working radio and once you heard either man's voice, you knew EXACTLY who was playing. Its not like that anymore. Its so bland its just pathetic. In alot of ways, it mirrors the product on the field. Sorry, but its just the way i feel. I love Auburn. I always wanted to go to Auburn University, but I never got the chance. An expensive education was always dreamed of but was never going to be a reality for me. But ive always still been in love with Auburn University. It breaks my heart when they lose. And hearing Stan White, who is great in his own right, having to strain through a broadcast with this new guy--no disrespect--is just painful to hear. People tell me, "just give it time; youll learn to like the new guy." Well...it only took Bramblett about half the 2003 season to grow on me. I liked him almost immediately. But as hard as ive tried, i simply cannot get myself to enjoy him. It just sounds too bland, watered down and plain jane to me. No style. Bramblett and Fyffe could get you jacked for a game. In fact, i preferred the radio over tv broadcasts back then. To me, theres just something very "Auburn" about college football radio play by play broadcasts.

Great post, editing, stats etc. Thanks for this. A truly beautiful piece of work and what a season. Never to be forgotten. One game, a loss to an old respected foe, set the stage for an incredible run. War Eagle!

Yeah Steve hard to believe that more than a week after the Miss State game Auburn wins the SEC west by beating Alabama in a comeback and Bama was the #1 team at the time weren't they or am I wrong about that on a kick six Bama missed FG Auburn takes it to the end zone for the win
