Introducing: Barry Snelgrove.
Today marks the start of our fundraising appeal where we shine a spotlight on the services we deliver that make a difference to our patients’ experience of care.
Barry has used most of our services - from clinical massage therapy to live music - throughout his treatment for colorectal cancer.
He said: “Every single one of these vital Royal Free Charity services transforms patients’ lives, helping them both emotionally and physically. But they will only keep running with your support.”
Over the next few weeks, we will be demonstrating the incredible impact our services have on patients across Royal Free London's hospitals. You will hear more from Barry and next week we'll introduce you to our amazing volunteers, who offer refreshments, books and a helping hand on our wards.
