COBI is by far THE BEST bricks out there! I wish there bricks weren't so expensive sigh.

@@amphibioustank76 To be fair they're still relatively expensive even if they're not *as* expensive as LEGO. A Mercedes might not be as expensive *as* a Lamborghini but it's still expensive. They've definitely increased their prices over the years, sure you can say "Quality has increased to and there's inflation!" but Cobi sets used to be about £20-30, now they're £40-50+. It's clear when Cobi got more popular and started doing deals with WoT and Bovington they started raising their prices, in future they'll end up at LEGO levels of price if it keeps up.

Something that bothers me, is that Cobi relies a lot on plates, rather than using bricks. For something like the hull that means a lot of tension and the construction bending slightly. I'd prefer a more hollow construction with bricks, to be honest.
You can see the hull bending especially on the smaller tanks.
But: the plates make it look more smooth in my opinion
@@hellothere753 I'm not against the use of plates, but not as filer. I'd say plates at the bottom, plates on top and bricks in the middle would be ideal.

1:35 sets nowadays get the same detail old 1:28 sets got (Opening hull hatch, turret hatch, engine detailing) and 1:28 get a more full interior...
While not a fan of the smaller scale I am a fan that they managed to downsize their product to more or less the original detail spec and I assume these sets being smaller cost less and therefore closer to their old prices as well...
Sorry for bursting your bubble, but the fact that these sets are smaller and have the same amounts of detail implies the bricks are made smaller, which still bumps up the piece count, and thus price.. these 1:35 modern tanks are more expensive than bigger WW2 1:28 tanks from 1/2 years ago...

This new T-72 is sooooo much better than the old one. It might not have any interior, but it looks very good on the outside.

I think I like the Sluban overall shape more, though probably because it's later model and thus it has ERA that gives it more detail than the original model.
Though COBI's gun is infinitely better for sure.
it is different tank. Cobi is T-72M/M1, probably M1. Sluban is T-80U.

My biggest gripe with this model are the tank tracks that constantly jammed at the sideskirt
You can make them a bit more loose - just very slightly angle bottom of the sideskirts away from the hull. Small change, but helped a lot, at least in my case

Hm the rubber screens should have been black for a bit more contrast and the turret looks kinda off, kinda small.
Honestly I hope they gonna remaster that set, it certainly lacks something.

Well.. the polish version is very outdated. And if you even manage to find it online, it's gonna set you back 5x the original price. Plus, the scale is at 1:28 compared to the current 1:35 cobi uses.

T-54/55, T-72, BMP, M48, Leopard 1, usw usw fände ich schon sehr geil.
Die beiden T-72 (M1 und der modernere M1R) kamen vorgestern bei mir an :)

uh kinda lame i would remove the wehrmacht flag from the eastern front and replace it with something soviet, cobi literally makes good tanks but with fantasy decals, they should do russian tanks T-72B3 T80BVM T-90M T-14 Armata BMP-3 BMD-4 Kurganez-25 T-15 Armata BMPT or the 2K22 Tunguska. Sluban looks good i think thats a T-80BVM but again with fictional USA decals.
They are polish company. So obviously you can only anticipate something from soviet era before 1991. They won‘t do any beyond that with russian decals for obvious reasons.

My favorite Russian tank after the T-55 is either the T-62,T-64,T-72,T-80,T-90A,T-90M, or the T-14 armata

This is not cobi related but do you know what happed to the T-72 T-55 and other Soviet stuff after reunification. Did the Bundeswehr use the communist equipment too or did they sell it?

how do the tracks feel? like the individual pieces, cuz they _look_ like cheap ratty plastic of a texture like those 'eco' bottlecaps, with the occasional sprue tag hanging off
I think if they made the turret one stud wider it would have looked better; T-72 turret is supposed to be slightly wider than the hull, this turret design looks slightly comical

@@pajasejr3028 no it isn't. Cobi got quite expensive. And it's kinda lego, the same way kleenex has become more or less synonymous with paper tissues in the US.
