At 28:55 , I keep trying to do loft along the path but it gives me error when I select the path (spline).

I had the same problem. Probably due to the ratio of the rectangle's area to the length of the spline to the circle's area. Try using a longer spline and almost similar areas sizes for the rectangle and circle.
