you don't need to press pull in 2 directions then use the subtract function. Instead just press pull twice using the same face in the same direction and it will create the void. I also don't know why you don't just hold shift and left click drag to rotate view.
I'm new to cad. I'm living it, although very hard to learn on my own. Watching your videos teach alot, but in almost every single one that I've tried to do, at least one Thing does not work out on my end the way they do in yours. On this one, it would not let me blend lines to patch curves. Wasnt able to complete project once I reached that point.
Great video....beautifully explained.....thanks. Why do you extrude the arc's rather than 'patching' as you did with the other splines? I found if I 'patch' the arcs, the 'sculpt' function didn't work. When I extruded the arcs (as you showed) the 'sculpt' function worked fine. Is there an explanation why this happens? Thanks again.....I will be watching more of your tutorials as you explain things so well.
It will be helpful if you could provide detailed explanation on blend, patch and associativity to avoid anomalies like when converting to solid it shows not applicable check water weight volume.
Thank you for the great tutorial. Although I have a problem with mine. The side edges I patched has gaps in them and this prevents me from sculpting the surface into a solid. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong
Hello my extrude is not getting the same results rather after extruding and converting it to the shaded bit, only the curved edges are shaded and there is a massive hole inside
Hii, Thank for the Tutorial, i facing one error can you help me sort it out. when i am using Sculpt Command it every time it gives me same error no water tight module fount. i am doing every thing step by step as per your tutorial and tried several time but still same error.
Hi, can you please also show how can I get the dimensions on every part of this if possible. Just in case I want to fabricate similar to this model. Thank you.
Yes there is. Don't delete the two solids. You can make the middle part drawing a rectangle and use the command Sweep with a 90 degree twist and after that use the align command to put it in its place.

I notice yor view is different . Your axis are setup different thatn when you start a new drawing and, you are not at hope position either. I think it's key to follow you as you are doing the drawing. Need to explain that part too.
i do literally exactly as this video does and when i try to sculpt it it tells me the object is not watertight, i have tried this over 4 times now and i cant figure it out. anyone know what might be causing this? thanks
Please help me please
i learnt a lot of new stuff in this tutorial but to be honest the sculpt command is garbage it doesn't work even though i do everything you did in the tutorial and i remade it 3 times and still doesn't work, i use the same version as you 2021
Pas top ! Le mec te fait un tuto sur AutoCad et tu vois qu'il ne sait pas s'en servir. Ou, comment faire les choses simplement alors qu'on peut les compliquer à merveille !

Great tutorial! I learned more in the 13 minutes of this video than in a 1 hour official autocad tutorial.
best autocad tutorial on whole of the TH-cam
very true

thanks man. it took me a couple of times and a bunch of rewinds but i eventually got it. awesome video
beautiful tutorial, explained perfectly in every single step. compliments!
The way you are describing it's make video so comprehensive.
Thanks
Hey! When I try to sculpt it says "solid creation failed, no watertight volume detected." So what's the problem??!
I really like how you did that and the way you guide us how to do it... thank you 👍👍👍
Great video....beautifully explained.....thanks.

Great tutorial, but my cad 2011 doesnt have a blend curves option.
Thank you for the great tutorial. Although I have a problem with mine. The side edges I patched has gaps in them and this prevents me from sculpting the surface into a solid. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong
Great video very easy to understand and complete. Thank you
A great thing especially if you have Auto CAD in the 2021 version. I wonder if something like this could be done in AC ver.2007?
Hello my extrude is not getting the same results rather after extruding and converting it to the shaded bit, only the curved edges are shaded and there is a massive hole inside
Another fantastic short educational tutorial...
Hi. Can you explain what i'm doing wrong?
When I use a SCULPT commend Autocad says:
Solid creation failed, no watertight volume detected.
Yaa i get same issues too 🙄
It's clear draw a water tight volume while working on the surface make sure to join the surface on each edges properly.
iam having an issue "no waterweight volume detected" i've gone through my drawing 4-5 time but still it pertains

Thanks for these videos very much. Good videos.
Excellent video
Very good explanation.
Perfect. But I wonder if there is any other way to draw this object

@@luanalidema hello, dear. Can you please help me with this? it's sound very easy to accomplish but somehow doesn't work for me.

Sir,why you selecting patch comments and why can't use extrude comments please explain it sir
Thank you for share your skill
Can't convert to 3d solid... Please explain sir...
Thanks! Veery interesting
How would you add dimensions to this?
sir, please show the dimensions before making the drawing

I had got problem as well. Could you please tell me solution? Thank you.
@@mevlog7555 i found it probably has something to do with double lines ontop of eachother. im not sure why or how to fix that tho.
Same problem as mine so i tried to use the patch tool only for the twisted part. For the rest, I use extrusion. Then boom! SCULP works.
zoom on the curves their is gap in between you have to fill it both side then it convert into sculpt
I had the same problem. I'm not sure why but once i rotated in a few times it then decided to work, I changed nothing though.
Dear sir make a complete video about project geometry in auto cad surface.. Pls pls plsss

You could just use loft
