The Elephant refers to a very famous incident that took place in the Arabian Peninsula in the same year Prophet Muhammad [S] was born. It demonstrates how God protected the land that was to become the focal point of the last revelation. It is described briefly because it was an event still clear in the minds of those living in Mecca and the surrounding areas.

105:1
Have you not considered, [O Muhammad], how your Lord dealt with the companions of the elephant?
105:2
Did He not make their plan into misguidance?
105:3
And He sent against them birds in flocks,
105:4
Striking them with stones of hard clay,
105:5
And He made them like eaten straw.

Abraha Al-Ashram(the scarface) was an Ethiopian/Abyssinian/Habeshi general for the kingdom of Aksum and governor of Yemen Under Emperor Kaleb of Aksum Empire. to call all of the Arabs from Paganism and Judaism to convert to Christianty .

The year of the elephant was scary they wanted to destroy the kabbah but Allah told the birds to bring stones and throwed the stones but the elephant reffused to destroy the kabbah so it wouldn't walk anymore because he knew that allah had created him and that was the house of Allah ❤❤

If you look at the logic of Abraha, it makes no sense at all.
When the elephant refused to turn towards makah, he should have realized the error of his ways and made tawba. But he wanted to force the Arabs to follow his devient beliefs.
And you can't just beat up an elephant, they're amazingly strong and powerful. Also, in spite of their size, they spook very easily. That's why elephants in many ancient armies turned against the soldiers in the army they were a part of, thus causing an entire army to lose a battle.
Also elephants are extremely slow.
There are different stories about the 'Elephants'.
