Cocaine for Germany | DW Documentary

  • Germany is flooded with cocaine. Since 2017, cocaine residue in Berlin's sewage has doubled. Since the pandemic, sales of cocaine across Germany have rocketed. The addictive potential of the drug is often underestimated and legal prohibitions do little to deter dealers or users.
    This documentary sheds light on new international smuggling routes and methods that are causing ever greater problems for law enforcement agencies. One indication of the rising wave of cocaine: although the number of controls in Germany has stagnated, the amount seized has doubled in recent years. In early 2021, customs investigators in the port of Hamburg made the largest cocaine find in Germany and Europe to date: 16 tons. Where does the cocaine come from and who is profiting from its smuggling and sale?

    I started doing drugs 18 years ago as a teenage. Got addicted to cocaine. Spent my whole life fighting cocaine addiction. I suffered severe depression and mental disorder. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.

      Amen God bless people. Save your health save your mind. Life is better without heroin, cocaine, alcohol and cigarettes. And you have more money in your pocket. God bless everyone who has rejected the devils intentions to be addicted to alcohol and cigarettes etc which can cause so much damage to health.

      Can you help me with the reliable source 🙏. I'm 56 and have suffered for years with addiction, anxiety and severe ptsd, I got my panic attacks under control myself years ago and they have come back with a vengeance, I'm constantly trying to take full breaths but can't get the full satisfying breath out, it's absolutely crippling me, i live in Australia. I don't know much about these mushrooms. Really need a reliable source!! Can't wait to get them

      Congrats! I'm really happy for you that your wife decided to help you. I always admire those who beat their addiction. Knowing it's possible to fix your life knowing there's people out there that have done what I thought was impossible gives me hope I will make it through as well. Those who share their experiences don't know how much it helps when you're about to give up, it gives you the strength knowing somone who actully know what it's like to go through this tell you it's possible, it's not the same somone telling you you can do it when they have no idea what it's like, but hearing somone who knows what it's like that helps a lot since you understand it firsthand and made it out gives so much hope. so thanks for sharing.

    Decriminalise, regulate and tax it. The tax and the millions that wouldn't have to be spent on customs and police could fund any medical and social services associated with drug use. "The war on drugs" has never and will never work. Pushing it underground only makes gangs rich and makes it more dangerous for users.

      Thank you! As someone who has struggled with addiction this is the answer. Street drugs make street people rich. Set it up so the government can regulate it and tax it. Invest in rehabs, and prevention . Policing costs too much and only gets a small handful of the streets.

      @IHWKR 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @FactStorm they do but it's a double edged axe. It'll greatly negate drug lords, but physical addiction by the masses will greatly harm the health of the country. No doubt millions would try hard drugs if legalized. The legality does keep many people from even smoking weed like myself. I've done it but I have a life to worry about. Good job with good pay but no drugs. Even if they were legal, they'd still destroy lives.

    • @IHWKR
      @IHWKR 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @msdadsfsx yes they do, and even that still doesn't work. Watched a documentary a year or so ago about heroin addicts in a certain spot that don't get bothered by the cops or something. I can't remember the name of it, but they're just wasting away in the streets just like here in the states.
      Wherever there's drug use, there's usually crime and societal decay (barring the offense of drug use, of course). I'm pro organic drugs like weed, mushrooms, dmt. But I still see the problems each has on people. I believe in freedom, but I also believe is policing our societies of legitimate wrongdoing and deterioration of society. I'm not saying there isn't a country or group of people who can defy the odds. But in terms of Americans, almost all of us lack self control. Our society is works off the ideology that we are all individual kings and queens, ruler of our domain and over others. We are extremely childish, selfish individuals. There's little to no hope that legalizing drugs will better society. It really is a catch 22 as it stands right now in my eyes. But generally illegal drugs is probably the lesser of two evils. Even decriminalization doesn't help but may even exacerbate the problem. Complex stuff for sure.

      Hey, do you have any insight on the Quebec biker wars during the 90s? Furthmore, to what extent are Italian and biker organizations involved in the trade today? Are there transnational elements present?

    Drugs should be legalized and regulated for quality. Govt can obtain revenue from tax. If adults want to use drugs (esp in the privacy of their own home), they should have that legal freedom

      cocaine is a horrible drug, it does not have much of the medical effects like marijuana but have severe side effects. I hope its illegal forever.

      They legalized marihuana, here in California. The business, it is still run by the cartels and they determine the way to go. They didn't go away

      Now really? That's funny because the vast % of the cocaine users are educated high class people.
      While other drugs such as heroin/opiods are largely less educated middle and lower class.

      I think car thiefs want the same thing, and they don't produce cars

    If you want to stop and really want to 100% you can , but the problem is many people for many reasons want to have it . The tiniest amount of want for it will always make quitting temporary .

    Drugs have been around forever so it is not going to stop, what should change is how we view users, as already said mentioned in the comments, I can drink a glass of wine a week and I am not a alcoholic. If I drink one every hour, that is a different story.. Addiction is the major issue, not drugs per se. If drugs were regulated I believe there would not be as many deaths because of fentanyl for example.
