Marketing, marketing, marketing! It seems like that's the main thing you need to get into the international music business. This guy, can truly sing, a great performer, not bad looking, but after 10 years since Idol, still is barely unknown outside of Australia. Compare him to some of the well known pop stars of today 'who can carry on a tune ' but cannot sing - this guy is miles ahead.

Anthony you gave me goosebumps on goosebumps & bought tears to my eyes with your exquisite mesmerising voice.Anthony sang this incredable song with so much power & emotion. It was a sublime performance Anthony. Thanks for posting it here so I can listen to it over & over. You blow me away Anthony every year I think you can't better that performance & then you do.
Point taken, but I think the musical director chooses the songs. Also I think they give him the more challenging songs 'cos they know he can handle them. PS I think this performance is magnificent.
Definitely better than any covers on TH-cam but when compares to Charice, it's only a okay performance. I don't think anyone will ever top Charice performance on Oprah, even Charice herself can't do it anymore.

Great performance though I preferred Charice's more and hitting higher notes at Oprah show. Go look it up.
There are few better voices than Anthony Callea's but hopefully he'll return next year with a more traditional carol.
