This is so wild, I was just sitting on the couch thinking about this very show and how amazing it was and that I wished I could see it again. Here it is!
I remember they walked on stage together, her guitar had a capo on. It seemed they were planning to open with a different song. She took the Capo off, retuned the guitar at full volume through the PA, she was in absolutely no hurry, the band were all completely patient, as was the crowd, just quietly waiting for her to finish. Then she launches into quite a long, unreleased song to open the show. The complete absence of modern "showcraft" was striking and refreshing. It was obviously going to be a really special show.
Thanks so much for this. I remember sobbing after the first song. My dog was put down only two months before this show so it was still fresh but for Adrianne and the band to play an unreleased song that I almost needed to hear in that moment - it was pretty surreal. Just a very therapeutic moment for myself so thanks again for capturing this.
I’m right there with both of you , remembering all of the dogs I’ve cherished. Why are their lives here so short? I’ve never loved a human as much. And I’ve totally adored a human or 2.

We'd just recently lost a beloved Jack Russell who was put down to end his suffering so I was right there with you in that moment.

Yes, I recently saw Big Thief in Indiana- Adrianne said the first song is called “Real House” ❤️
