Enjoy your watch James! Tissot is always a great choice if you do not want to break your wallet and look for a decent swiss made watch. Have a wonderful weekend mate!
Hi Roger! Yes the orange version screams excellent taste! I really love the Omega Planet Ocean in Orange and I just checked out the Tissot Seastar in orange after reading your message and find it with the rubber a perfect combination! Wear it with good health! Thanks for commenting - any shares / subs are always much appreciated. Thank you.
I own this watch and really like it! One warning for smaller wrists, it is a large and heavy watch. I have a 7 3/4 inch wrist and it still looks large. A real quality Swiss watch thats relatively inexpensive.
Hi Steve you are absolutely right it is a big watch. I also have a small wrist but even the 50mm Hamilton Khaki Field fits relatively okay, looks weird but fits comfy :) This particular Seastar was actually less heavy than my Omega Seamaster Chronograph, man that watch is like a a triple quarter pounder and MCs :) Glad to hear you have this watch, do you wear it daily? Thanks for commenting, if you liked it thumbs up, sharing and subscribing is always much appreciated. Questions / Comments will be always answered :)
Bought this watch tax free on the Norwegian Jewel and I really love it and it’s quite fashionable! Not sure I’ll use the dive functions much but nice to know it can take the deep water pressure.
Excellent choice! I would get rid off the screw down crowns for the chrono pushers, I absolutely hate them… but so I heared one can actually get rid off them. P.s. thanks for subscribing ;) please check my other videos too
@@Watchmeifyoucan Yeah, or leave them unscrewed? Maybe they can come off but I assume they were there for diving deep, the buttons would not hold water out without the screwdowns?
@@ElliotMcDonell Omega managed to do 300m water resist with non screw down crowns, okay it is another tier for sure but it is doable :) When you have time check out my comparison of the rado captain cook chrono with the Omega Seamaster chrono: th-cam.com/video/zwNUDMsU8AA/w-d-xo.html
Hi my friend I had the same watch to me it looks more expensive then what it is in my opinion it’s very heavy on the wrist I sold mine a few months ago I regret it now 😢thanks for the video
Yes it feels bulky and heavy and the watch is really well built, the dial feels premium and that blue is amazing and all for 500 CHF, great buy! Get yours back!
I think you said the upper left sub-dial is 'minute' indicator, but i didn't see it move at all. I guess maybe after 1 minute it click-advances to the first tick marking one minute?
Yes it only advances after a minute. The bottom dial at 6 oclock is the constant seconds. Do you know how to tell it is not an automatic? (Besides of looking at the seconds hand movement) There are 2 types of automatic caliber used by “cheap” watches, the Valjoux 7750 which has subdials at 12, 9, 6 oclock positions, and the Valjoux 7753 has its subdials at 3,6,9 but as thr 7750 is more often used it is 95% when a watch has its subdials at 3,6,9 is a quartz :) Just an interesting info for you as you were nice enough to leave a comment behind. Have a nice day!
Hello just got mine aswell few days ago. Beautiful watch. But it really started to bother me that the big second dial isnt working automatically. And hides the Tissot name a bit in normal position. I know that I can start it but then then 1/10 seconds going aswell and im afraid it drains the battery very quickly. Any tips?
Well running the chrono function will unavoidably drain the battery, sajnos kedves Attila ez egy kölcsön óra volt nálam, because of this I can not really replicate the issue you are having… :(
Hi there! I believe it stops after a while to save the battery but it is a good idea to try out ;) thanks for leaving a comment behind. As always I am extremely grateful for subs or shares :) have a wonderful day further and if any further questions just write me!
I got this watch for when I'm bimbling about in the man cave doing woodwork. I don't want to risk damaging a nice watch. The problem is that I hate it. It doesn't matter what I do or how many times I go back to the jewellers, we just can't get the watch to fit comfortably. I've never had this problem with any other watch. Shame as the design is good.
I agree, that the Tissot and Certina bracelets are way too uncomfortable nowadays, maybe they have to lower their comfyness not to compete with more expensive Swatch Group brands?
To be honest it is a very good question! The answer is very simple: NO, eithet you buy a digital watch or you buy a perpetual calendar watch those will change this automatically
The clasp is not the best overall the watch plays in a low segment, the crispy Omega engravings are something they could use being the Swatch Group… but it is what it is right? :)
@Watchmeifyoucan Well, sure I suppose it is. There are those that likely pay less attention to a stamped clasp and IDK, maybe that's the majority of Tissot's customers in this segment. This is still a lovely looking watch. Though not having handled it, I would think a little extra in cost and a milled clasp would make this a seriously nicer watch for the money. Their Supersport XL line does it and that's an impressive piece for the money as well. Just my 2 cents.
Love the watch hate that cheap stamped bracelet with buckle i realize this piece is priced around $500 but they can do much better on the bracelet, and if I'm being picky they could have made it automatic also.
For CHF 500 they could not had made it automatic, the valjoux 7750 is alone CHF 500. They used the PowerMatic 80 movement for a non-chronograph version, which sells for CHF 1065, based on this a chronograph version would cost around CHF 2000 so the question is, are you willing to pay for a Tissot Brand so much? (I would’nt) As far as the bracelet is concerned, my Omega Bracelet costs around CHF 750 so that being said for CHF 500 I think it can be considered lucky that there is even a bracelet… and because of this the quality is not the best, yet again my very first watch was a Certina (same price segment as Tissot) and I absolutely loved the bracelet until I did not know better existed… so it is a question of how we socialize and what brands/quality we experience. Have a wonderful day!
The version I bought on the orange rubber strap is more striking in my opinion and I don't mind that it's quartz as a) it keeps absolutely perfect time and b) I've already got a couple of automatic watches.
Bought this nearly 2 years ago an I absolutely love it, stylish with excellent build quality and reasonably priced.

Very professional review of this lovely watch, My Blue one should arrive in the next day or so. Can't wait.
Thank you for the kind words. Glad you liked it!
I bought this watch in April but in my preferred option with orange detailing on the orange rubber strap . . . love it.

Its gonna drastically reduce your battery life. Imagine having to change the battery in just a few months when it should really last 2-3 yrs

@@WINDSHEAR-STUDIO those xl watches are the ones that look like an IWC Big Pilot watch?
@Watchmeifyoucan No, the Supersport XL's look more like a Tag Carrera chrono. They are quartz though, not auto's.
When you do a wrist shot, you should mention your wrist size so people watching have a reference point. Otherwise good review. Subbed.
Thanks for the comment I will keep this in mind for the upcoming videos!
