I only missed the question about radioactivity guessing as I suspect most who erred would have that it was Marie Curie.
Yep. Good quiz. I failed miserably. 16/40, and some of those were guessed.

Old-timers get an 'I remember that' bonus on at least half of the questions.

This is a great quiz. I liked it, did 34 of 40 correct, but 7 or 8 were mere lucky guesses. More importantly, I was able to say the correct answers for more than 20 questions before the choices were presented. It felt good. Thank you.

A well rounded quiz, not to hard, but not a breeze. At least for me, 33/40 correct.
We both got perfect scores: 33/40. Anything over that is, well, ignorant of the important stuff we know but they don't!
18 correct with 4 guesses. It was usually a 50/50 choice though.

It was a good level for me. I got a final score of 36 with four wrong but had to make educated guesses for three others, so it wasn't easy like most history quizzes I see on TH-cam.

Great quiz I only got 39 correct.
In my early Seventies, got 38/40. Most were blindingly obvious becoz within my lifetime :-)
At 54 I am shocked I can remember a lot of the questions wow

Well done, Mr. Adams. I'm sure I missed five or six, including #16. I was pretty confident that the US was first to use fingerprinting. I got the Fingerprinting merit badge in the Boy Scouts back in '68 or '69 and thought I remembered learning that it originated in the US around 1900 or so. That's one reason I enjoy these quizzes - they help refresh my memory (A 65-year-old US resident).

I am going to have to limit myself on quizzes. Very addictive. There were some tough ones resulting in guessing, but hopefully I will remember the correct answers.

I got 25/40. I thought i was decent with general knowledge but it seems i still have a way to go. Really love how diverse in range the questions went. Some of the questions i actually knew the answer to, I just hadn't used tyat knowledge in so long it remained a mystery to me. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
36/40. I wish extra credit were given for knowing the answer before the choices were listed, as I knew most of them. Here it's an advantage to be long retired, as many of these happened in my youth.

35/40. Five of the more obscure questions caught me. Many could be worked out.
Some of these were really tough I barely got a B- 32/40 But it was fun to learn and sometimes guess correctly.😅
Five out of seven guesses correct for 38. Happy with that.

I read a lot of history and because it is multiple choice it makes it pretty easy. I am seventy now and I swear I forgot more than I know.

Sixty years of experience with French and Portuguese have taught me that it is almost impossible to get Anglophone speakers to take written accents seriously. We get along without them and they should to.
Man I'm a good guesser!!!!! I did well but not because I knew the answers.
Regardless what Google says, the name of the Portuguese discoverer is Fernao (with a tilde over the A) de Magalhaes (with a tilde over the third A). This is a tilde: ~. I know; I'm Portuguese. I hope you forgive my interjection.😉
Ferdinand Magellan ; Fernão de Magalhães. Thanks for sharing. The reason I used Ferdinand Magellan is because that is what he is known as to 99% of the world. Sorry, but most of my viewers are not Portuguese, but I am glad to have the ones I do. Thanks 👍😀

😁 I'm sure you know why that explorer's name is spelled as shown on Google. It's not because 99% of the world knows him as such; it is because that same 99% (or thereabouts) looks at the spelling of his name and doesn't know how to pronounce it. The nasal sound produced by the tilde, as well as the lh, raise phonetic issues. I don't want to sound argumentative; but, as a purist and a bit of a wordsmith, I try to understand the etymological and phonetic richness of words, adaptation of proper names notwithstanding. I rather enjoy your quizzes and am grateful to you for allowing me to share my impressions.
@@Quizzes4U I'm Filipino and I didn't know that. We are all taught that Ferdinand Magellan (not the Portuguese name) discovered the Philippines. Killed by Lapu-lapu (a Visayan chieftain) on the shores of a beach on Mactan Island (near Cebu city). I thought Magellan died by bleeding out after repeated sword strikes so the test revealed something new (poison arrow).
Thanks. Tha is why I thought he discovered the Philippines for Portugal. But of course The Philippines was a Spanish colony.

Damn! Missed out on the fingerprint question. Guessed USA. Had luck guessing on a couple of them.
The illustration accompanying the question about the Olympic Games shows runners wearing shorts. Athletes back then were naked.

8 wrong!all my history is self learned. The last history course I ever took was in high school.
After high school I studied pure science eventually getting @ medical degree
39/40. Got a little lucky with that woman who was first elected to Congress and another early question that was an educated guess. Magellan got me since I knew he was Portuguese. I should have looked at the wording of the question I guess. Oh well, happy with that score for sure.
