- Welcome aboard as we head offshore on The Falcon in search of the wiley~swordfish we run into an unexpected surprise, a giant school of Mahi with a Wahoo hanging around in the weeds. Fellow Captain Todd ran across a log and a huge school of Mahi. He rang us up on the VHF and we both proceeded to catch a nice limit of Mahi. Grab your life jackets and hang on, and welcome aboard.

Nice fish but love the boat looks like a ocean master best boat ever made
We agree!
Nothing rides better than an Ocean Master!
Loving the boat!!
Awesome video! Give the win to Tamara on the mahi you both hooked! 😂 Keep the videos coming
Thanks! Will do!
Nice boat, always loved the ocean master since I saw them in Diego Garcia. Great catch today.
The boat has been spectacular. Thanks for watching!!!
Throw the little ones back, this fishery has been hammered, this time of year 20 years ago every fish I caught was a gaffer. Now most are peanuts
Would love to see that again, why do you suppose that is?
@@marathonsportfishing Well too many people chasing a limited resource. Dolphin and tuna are highly migratory so the commercial guys in Mexico and the Caribbean hammered them as they move north to the Carolina's in the gulf stream. If I was king I'd ban importation of highly migratory fish. By the time they get to us most are gone
Love the Ocean Master, one of the best hulls out there.!🤘
She's been great! The stability is fantastic!
Great fun on the boat, and it rides so smooth.
Yes indeed!
Awesome day ! Congrats !!!
Thanks!!
Hey just wanted to say thanks . Saw you in the tackle box and we talked about relief shading chips. Great friendly advice enjoyed talking to you
THANKS
Glad it was helpful!
Hell yea awesome to see the mahi coming back. I need to get down there
Should be a good season!
Nice video! Going out this Sunday it should be good. This year April at better sizes than last year! Good fishing you guys smacked them 😎
Good luck!
Great video, it's always good to have a friend to let you know where the fish are.
Absolutely
You got me hooked today. Enjoyed the content man. Great job ! I'll be following u guys . God Bless be safe an keep catching. Respect from Readyville Tn. This country boy going to St. George this Saturday with my boys to catch off the beach for a freaking week. Thanks y'all!
Thanks for tuning in!!! Tight lines on the beach.
Awesome Mahi madness! That was an awesome school you have found! We are heading your way in a week and renting a boat in the next few days. Do you think a 23’ Mako CC w/ 175 HP 4-Stroke engine can handle the waves and the wind out there? We are planning to create lots of videos for our Canadian subscribers. Thank you so much for any advice and tips you can give. Tight lines!
always depends on the wind...touch base with me when you kids get down here!
@@marathonsportfishing Thank you so much! Is it best to use your email to contact you?
Email works best
@@marathonsportfishing Thank you so much! We already came back from our vacation. Maybe we'll meet up next time. Tight lines.
Sounds good, could do a little collaboration!
You have to look good to see it in the water
We don't always get perfect sun angles while fishing...Thanks For Tuning In!!
Awesome day on the water love the Contant planning on going down to marathon in the next couple weeks. What depth did you guys get on them?
We hit them in around 1200' but every day is different so you have to hunt them down!!
Great day of fishing, I plan on fishing this weekend off Duck key. What depth did you find them? You guys got me hooked.
They were in around 1200, hit them in 850 2 days ago.
Thanks captain
Thanks captain
Did you find any???
10 fish for 2 people. Nice job. And we wonder why mahi fishery has declined. As a charter capt would hope for setting better example.
Hey Bob, thanks for tuning in. The reason I kept 10 is because I have family that wanted some fish. Normally we keep just a few. I don't think the average angler is the reason for the decline. I'm guessing the heavy commercial fishery may have something to do with it.
Really appreciate your taking the time to reply. Shows your dedication and commitment to your channel. Just as a point of reference, the recreational take is 9,000,000 pounds and the commercial take is. 210,000 pounds according to the latest NOAA info. Just wanted to make the point that is important as recreational fishermen that we respect the resource. Continued good luck in your well done channel.
Hey Bob, thanks for the info!
When was this if you don't mind?

@@marathonsportfishing thanks. Reason I asked was a buddy of mine just got back and said it was blowing like crazy every day. Looked pretty good in the video.
That’s the problem and why the numbers are down. How many of those fish are going to go to waste.
Hey Greg are you asking about the fish we caught? If so, none of them goto waste we eat all of them!
Y didn’t u let the other person gaff d fish?
I am the gaff man LOL!
What is sad about the mahi fishery is the rec fishermen were the ones pushing to reduce the bag limits after the fishery collapsed. The know-nothing govmit officials that "manage" these fisheries are clueless buffoons. They let the cod fishery collapse due to over fishing and it has never recovered even after 20 years.
Take what you need and stop with the I need to have the biggest body count at the dock. That will save the fishery
Totally Agree. Typically we keep what we use and thats it.
