    The romantic serenade that became a top ten jazz standard. I never knew the origins of the song. The Stella by Starlight, named for the tragic Stella , played for actress Gail Russel who just wanted to be a painter but was tragically killed by a brutal Hollywood machine contract.

    Most of my favorite movies were from the thirties this one from 1944 was absolutely one of my favorite movies of all time

    This is only OK if you like seeing a bit of film through a table cloth and hearing sound like it's coming up from a manhole cover!

      It's from the 40's. The quality is gonna be poor.

      @@lunalgaleo1991 Nonsense! This film has been digitally remastered and is now in excellent quality, which only makes this version all the more poorer!
