My husband says that instead of dropping the spark plug into the hole, use a 1/4” gas line about 8” long as an extension. Push the top of the plug into the gas line and place it in the hole and start turning it. Once the threads catch, pull the gas line off and then use socket to tighten it up. He says this prevents the ceramic from getting chipped or broken.
Just a small tip. Wrap a clean rag around the base of the con-rod sealing the gaps into the bottom half. That last circlip could end up down there, those little things can be tricky.

An air nozzle under the grips will make your life much better putting on grips. Put the tip just under the grip flange and pressurize the grip and slid it on without any lubrication. It also works for taking off grips you want to save, it just may take putting the air around the grip in multipe locations to break it free.
Engine mechanics is a precision task, stay within tolerances and all good. Excellent job once again Joe and Vinnie. Doing the job for nix shows your generosity and dedication. For this alone..subbed!
Back when I was a kid, always borrowed a can of hairspray for grips on dirtbikes and bmx bikes, they slide on easy and stick on great (Use Aerosol hairspray ONLY) New liquid stuff doesn't work. Another Great job!
My grandad worked on bikes, tractors; cars and built houses until he was 93 years old without a lift. Never once completed about knee, back or joint pain 🤷🏻♂️ my dad is the same. Just something I learned years ago, you actually dont have to stagger the ring gap. They rotate when on the piston to function correcly. It doesnt hurt anything at all just stagger, if u put a piston in a engine with them lined up and run it for a bit they will come back out not lined up.
$10k invested in a 2005 model when MSRP on a 2024 is $8300. @15:15 I hope you remembered to finish torquing the front-left head bolt, bc it didn't happen on camera, but you did double torque the back-right one. If you use an air gun it makes installing those grips super easy...no lube required.
every video i watch either 2stroke or 4stroke all people put the piston on corod 1st and then cylinder on piston i find it much easier putting piston into cylinder then onto the conrod but i suppose its each to their own i suppose but keep up the vids i love to watch
