I have watched Mr Busser in a couple of videos and his enthusiasm is infectious. I'll never be able to afford an MB&F but I admire the ingenuity and quality of the timepieces. It is great to see such fine engineering.
I could never afford one but I want it more than anything I've ever wanted before. I will come and sweep the floors at MB&F for a year if you let me have one. I'm not kidding, please let me sweep your floors.
+phrenzy1 A special one will be for sale very soon at auction - and it looks just great: www.onlywatch.com/collection/watch/item/melchior_%E2%80%98only_watch_-36
While I have a love of mechanical watches, I've become increasingly disgusted by the decadent hedonism of haute horology. Melchior is an obscene metaphor of what is wrong with today's society.
These companies need to find ways to set themselves apart from the others. Some are doing that with obscene complications, some are doing it with engraving and enamel, and some both. The point is that if these companies don't do stuff like this and stick to basic complications that have already been mastered in the world of watch making, their brand loses relevance in the market. I for one would love to have this robot sitting on my nightstand.

You nailed it; enthusiasm, creativity and quality combined!
Childhood memories! A winding robot that tells time! Or Tony's stark first attempt to build iron man ☺
Reminds me of the early automatons -- similar skill sets between watch makers and mechanical automaton makers I would think.
SoCalFreelance You're absolutely right!
It would be a MIRACLE.
I want one, but since I don't even have one of their watches, I guess I should buy a watch first ;-)
Thoughts, Ideas, and what? A good start indeed, but they will let you buy this one without the watch i think!
Bravo! He is a Genius!
All I can say is COOL !
if it smaller and installed as a wristwatch, it would be 1000 times awesome. remember the casio watch's robot
Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. I love Melchior.
Nice piece for sure!!!
If it brewed coffee I would buy one!

MamboPython Like I said, an obscene metaphor for what is wrong with contemporary society.
The owner is annoying as heck.
It would be a MIRACLE.
