From what I can tell, Hank has made the tail switch so much better. I have the titanium KR4 that I got last month and my button feels the best out of all my Hanklights. You can even press it on the edge of the button and feels the same as if you pressed in the middle.
I have three of the Noctigon KR1, the thrower version of this light, yes it is a serious tool, I have a black one with the w2 green emitter I use for lighting up addresses at night for my delivery job and man that light is Awsome! I set it up in momentary turbo, so with one click it's full power in tactical mode, yes the tail switch is gritty sometimes but mine seems ok most of the time, but yeah it can be a crap shoot, but in tactical momentary mode no problems, l love this light and yours looks awesome! The other two I have is Cyan blue with the xhp 70.3 and the other one is Grey with the sft40, can't wait for that one, it arrives next week, there on sale for 38.00 on Hanks site, thanks for reviewing that..
@@TheFossilChannel yeah man no problem, I'm really digging these colored lights, at night when I'm hunting addresses the green w2 in that Noctigon KR1 has amazing throw and crisp definition and the looks on people's faces is priceless seeing a green flashlight throw that far from my vehicle, im thinking of maybe an amber light color in the d1 mini pocket thrower in sand color with the RGB backlit, you have to try one Hanks lights with the RGB backlit button just got my green dk4 with 4 519A 5700K dedome with the RGB backlit the switch has every color the Auxiliary lights have, it looks super sweet! I will let you know how the Grey Noctigon sft40 goes, im hoping it throws good, no more lights for now man, im broke lol..have good one!
I have two KR1's, one with the SST20 2700k and another with the osram W2. I seriously love both of these lights so much. They both have their uses, the SST20 is great for closer range and has an excellent CRI while the W2 can really punch that light out there pretty far. I also have a tint ramping D4V2 also with the same SST20 paired with the W2. and also a titanium KR4 with the SST20 4000k. All I can say is that I'm really beginning to love these emitters and they seem to perform particularly well on all these platforms. Part of me thinks I'm going a little too overboard but at these prices I can't help it haha.
I wonder if the switch problem is due to it being titanium? Threads are always much grittier on titanium lights I noticed. Probably can't get machined as smooth as aluminum or copper.
The swiss army knife of lights, thats what i thought too when i got my d4v2 recently, love the tinker aspect of it. I just cant stand the mushy button that is very recessed (i wanted a raised ring for safety, so my bad), very hard to click the right amount with it. Now my question, is the tailswitch of the kr4 comparable to the Sofirn sc32 (my previous edc light) by any chance if you know that, because i love the feel of that, like an oldschool rubberdome keyboard with short throw if you know what i mean, there tripple clicks allways land and its easy for strobeing and rampswitching. Otherwise the d4v2 is very good, but wanted to try tint ramping anyway and have my eye on a kr4 in titanium with osram w2 6000k/519a 4500k dedomed, is that a good choice or is there a better combo?
i dont know how it would compare to sofirn, the kr4 tail switch is the worst part about the light imo. it works but could be better designed. the emitter combo sounds solid if you want a thrower and high cri warm close tint. they dont mix colors well but youre getting a thrower and high cri close range tool. plus aux lights are actually nice for night work imo.
I have the sc32 hcri with the 519a coming in the mail. I’ve heard great things about its button and the wurkos ts10 button. It looks like a perfect upgrade to my edc light. I can’t wait😊

the other thing i love about anduril is the dummy mode, i usually keep mine in dummy incase i hand it to someone
