- Wheel bolt pattern can be tricky so always measure before you lay down some cash for a set of wheels at a swap meet. For 4, 6 and 8 lug wheels it’s simple. Center of one stud to the center of the one across from it. For 5 lug you measure from the outer edge of one stud to the center of the stud across from it.
In our case, we ended up with a bolt circle measurement 4.75 inches. This is commonly known as 5 on 4 and 3/4. This is a small GM pattern, used on most passenger cars from 1949 until the 1990’s. Here’s a quick guide:
5x4.75 = Small GM bolt pattern
5x4.50 = Small Ford bolt Pattern
5x4.50 = Large Mopar bolt pattern
5x4.00 = Small Mopar bolt pattern
5x5.00 = Large GM bolt pattern (Chevy trucks and ‘70s full size cars)
5x5.50 = Large Ford bolt pattern

that measurement wasn't right not even a Lil bit 🤦🏽♂️ 😂😮💨
How was that measurement wrong?
Awesome advice !
You serious Clark ? 😂
Great advice, measure it yourself! 👍
I have the same lug pocket? My mag stock lugs have the 60° end, which sat in the stock rim .these have the slightest play on the hole. Is there a solution out there?
A real car guy can eyeball it.
The center is still important it should support weight of vehicle. Studs are ment to keep wheel against mounting flange, not weight of vehicle.
i thought measuring of bolt pattern called out for center to centor of bolts?
👍😎👍
Bolt pattern doesn't go by inches though they're mm... 😂 so you'd need to convert the inches to mm...
Look up Chevy 6 bolt lug pattern
Tell us you're young and inexperienced without telling us.
Ok kiddo...
From the outside edge of one to the center of the other one is 5 and 3/4 not 4
Will a 5x127 fit a 5x115?
No
🤦♂️. You were an inch off to what you said 😂 you mean 5 3/4”?
He measured from the 1 on the tape measure not the end of the tape measure therefore it would actually be 4 and 3/4
