It seems that the rubber on the lower speakers has already hardened a little. Because they don't move very much and the lower frequencies seem to be weak.
I have these but man, do my smaller Pioneer RM-05 active monitors beat these in every metric. These have very little bass, tho that seems more of a crossover issue and not how much the drivers can handle. Clarity is ok, mids a bit recessed. If you can find these under $100 it's a steal but otherwise most modern small bookshelf speakers will outperform these. Looks wise hard to beat tho!
I've got these. Don't know whether they worth fixing..the bass driver seems to have stopped working..very hard to get any movement by hand..susoect burnt out voice coil? Any idea where I found source an original bass unit from..thank you.
Very unique speaker in its design and sound ( crossover layout and damping ). Bass seem weak too! Thanks for the video! Very informative!

You cannot tell this by the video itself - the movement is too rapid and can interfere with camera's refresh rate.
