I think Bandai tends to pick a scale so finished kits end up between 10-15cm tall or something like that. Funnly enough 1/35 is a common enough military model kit scale, so you could gab some tanks to see how big the guren would look in comparison
Especially for a Real Robot anime like CG. Super Robots (closer to extinction than their sociopolitical drama brothers for the teenage demographic) usually have that style per character.
just finish building mine yesterday, damn this is better than the lancelot kit, this feels so solid, and the plastic is more thick than any other gunpla i build
They're cool kits. Similar enough to gunpla while being refreshingly different. Shame it's not a full fledged line, I've wanted a model kit of Cornelia's Glouchester for waaaaaay too long
Absolutely love Code Geass finally getting some good model kit love. Just reminds me how they sorely missed a trick by not doing kits for all the grunts. They would be an army builder and dioramas dream.
Should they start with Glasgows or Sutherlands? Also, I want to see these Knightmares' previous models. The Lancelot's float unit is so satisfying to see attached to its back.
@@abrahamambriz892 Agree. I love the Lancelot Albion kit, but as a design I have more of a soft spot for the original. As for grunts... why not both? I always associate the Glasgow more with the early Black Knights, whereas I think of the Sutherland first for Britannia.
IIRC the arm attachment is to allow the claw to fire a wider based Radiant Wave, dealing no damage but enough to interfere with the opposing Knightmare Frame and paralyze them.
12:05 Mecha you had the upper arm armor part C1-6 the other way around. Turn it around and the peg actually sits perfectly in the arm for a tight connection.

You need to quickly buy those... its a pbandai limited release last year april so maybe next year, it's gone... since there is a news about a new sequel of CG... same as metal build too... unfortunately MB Lancelot was still not available hehe ps. already got one and it was SO SO GREAT on doing articulation... and maybe lancelot is small compare to guren, it has more accessories than guren
there's already a metal robot version for those two... and TBH... its too fatty for me... also expensive, twice the price of hgs... but i hope not just those two, but with their additional armor before they ejected it (for pilot limitations hehehe)
I think it's because in the show, the Lancelot Albion's wings never fold, but the Guren S.E.I.T.E.N.'s does. Either that or it didn't come to their mind until designing the Guren.
@@FiahCraker Yeah but theres also this one part where Albion puts it's wings horizontally over it's shoulders, which is not possible with it's limited wing articulation. Honestly I would have been satisfied if the wings had something better than a single ball joint, since all it allows is simple 360 rotation (atleast in theory) and small backward and forward, because of that the wings look rather static.
I decided to start into Gunpla after watching your HG Lancelot video Which was 1 day after you uploaded the video Funny I have WFM HG Kits and none of the new Code Geass releases, the MAIN reason I wanted to try Gunpla

1/35 scale, same as the original model kits

@@CommanderNemo1iirc, the HG Arbalest and the rest of the HG Full Metal Panic kits are all 1/60th scale
Well 1/35 is a scale a lot bigger then a mg scale so even if smaller it becomes bigger then a 1/144 hg or almost as big as a 1/60 of a gundam
I hope bandai continue this line. I badly need lelouch mecha shinkiro or the one on season 1 for my collection😭
same here... shinkiro, maybe revives like tristan and mordread...
Well Gawain is coming
Code Geass always had mech designs with a lot of personality in them.
Most anime mechas don't think in that too much.
Went into that show expecting nothing. Man does it deliver. Made Gundam 00 Season 2 feel as bland as plain rice

i do read HD, but wile you where showing, at my head was rolling the idea "this is a MG, isnt it?"
My point of view that Guren this type is the best in part of colour and surface of each pieces
they finally released a Guren Seiten model kit now I can make a custom gundam with that sick right arm and head also the wings im hype

The biggest disappointment. Maybe you could mod the kallen from the 2008 kit into this one
