Use to sing this to my daughter all the time, now she's in heaven, first time I've listened to this song in a long time🥹🫶✌️ thank you all for your kind words and prayers, really means a lot
My sister used to sing this to me all the time. My birthday is in May so she’d always belt out “I’VE GOT THE MONTH OF MAAAAAAAY” and point to me. It always made me feel so loved. 🙂💜
I don’t even know how great is this too which is one of my personal favorites. I randomly found this while playing Euro Truck Simulator 2 with in-game radio turned on and this plays. Glad I got this exactly back in May 2024, like the lyrics mentioned it 🙂
It's normal for me. I never underestimate the power of the bass guitar. I really hear it when I listen to Hey Joe or Cinnamon Girl. I love those bass lines.
My Dad use to wake us up with Oldies, especially while we were on vacation. He’d come in snapping and singing. I wasn’t a morning person but by the time I finished breakfast I was beebopping along with that tune stuck in my happy head all day. He started my music appreciation journey and I’ve been dancing to beats ever since.
I was born May 63, this song came out 12/1964. My mother sang this song to me up until she passed 1983. I was so proud she loved me like this. I was her only daughter and I was her girl! ❤ Love you Mom, RIP from your girl ❤

I bless Smokey Robinson nearly every day for writing this song for David Ruffin's voice. It's not just that it's a great song, but this version, this track, is one of the best things ever.
Unbelievable, 1965 seems like yesterday when hearing the first few notes! What a time it was to be young and innocent with our whole life ahead of us! Take me back to that time! To all those amazing days we thought would last forever!❤️
I was Born in 64, listened to all these songs growing up, cause this was my parents jams, mine were the 70s, just to go back for a moment would make me happy, miss them days🫶✌️

How can a song from 1964 STILL sound this crisp, amazing, solid, and beautiful 60 years later!?!?
It’s because older songs can be remastered from the original. You can listen to the OG one for authenticity but it’s your choice.
Yes, it's amazing.
