That Bearcat at the 13:00 minute mark is a police & fire department scanner. The crystals were for selecting which frequency you wanted to listen to. Each organization used a different frequency. Newer models have an auto-scan feature, and nowadays it is almost all digital, and there are live streams available online for many areas.

Kayla, the plant you bought is a caladium. I don't know whether that's spelled right or what it will grow in water. But it grinds a lot better if you put it in dart but that's left up to you, you need to get a book on planthen. It will show you what they are and how to take care of them.
