    I know this is old but for anyone watching, NEVER disconnect or connect any airbag connectors with the battery still connected. Always disconnect it and wait at least 30 seconds before you disconnect the yellow harnesses.

    I have the regular comfort seats with electric height adjustment (poverty spec)
    Would sport seats(not recaros) with full electric adjustment plug and play?

    Which do you like better power seats or manual seats?

    • @aDIYCarGuy
      @aDIYCarGuy  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      jimbo booth Power seats are fun but sometimes manual seats are just faster to adjust and get on with life. It's safer to use power seats while driving, because they won't slide around on you. They both have their ups and downs so I don't really have a preference, they're both kind of just there. How about you?

      a DIY Car Guy i am use to manual but in cars like my mom's LeSabre and my sisters marquee i would prefer power because its a nice car and it goes with it better than a pickup . but my 87 id rather stay with manual because I dont want power anything on that ( other than power steering lol )

    Any tips on how to remove the carpet?

    • @aDIYCarGuy
      @aDIYCarGuy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just from my general experience you'll have to take out the seats, and any trim that is around the edges of the carpet, door sill trim etc. Center console, seat belts if they bolt through the carpet. Might be some odd things that are bolted through the carpet. Other than that the carpets typically lift out once everything is removed from on top of the carpet.

      ***** I don't know, but I will say most likely, I don't think they would change the design of the seat mounts due to the cover material.

      @aDIYCarGuy  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +jimmy fousteris You're gonna have to examine it closer and be more patient with it. It's an airbag cable to it's harder to remove. There are probably 2 or 3 clips holding it on.

    The only reason I'm watching this is to see if you'd say what each plug/wire did but nvm

    • @aDIYCarGuy
      @aDIYCarGuy  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      just follow the wires, some go to the motors, the yellow is for the air bag, the leftover one is the heater, probably goes up and disappears into the seat
