I kinda wonder right, how did Astrid know of her contracts w/o the Night Mother being present? Do they just go off rumors from society?
As far as I know, they just went off rumors, and Astrid had ties to the Thieves Guild so maybe she got some info from them and other guilds?
Aventus Aretino will be punching his floorboards until Alduin eats the world if you don't show up. So the Dark Brotherhood under Astrid was definitely busted.
