@21st Century Strength Ethos Manifesto I agree, the best strongman are gone like Zydrunas, Eddie and Brian Shaw always injured. These new younger guys are overall too small, too light and too weak to rival the top of a few years back like Big Z, Eddie Hall. The performance overall at the Arnolds was weak in comparison to the past. Martins Licis performed well though. Mateusz was a disappointment in most events except for stone to shoulder and the other guys just don't have the potential to reach the very top or push the limits like the top guys back then. Hafthor too didn't perform well in the log lift and stone to shoulder - much weaker than in 2017. 3reps with the 430lb log, almost did 4 in ASC2017. This year in 2019 he managed only 2 reps and failed at the third. Maybe it's because he isn't pushed enough by the competition, but he should at least perform as well as 2 years ago. Not decline.

@21st Century Strength Ethos Manifesto If Thor would have managed to get the 3rd rep with the 430lb austiiran oak log, he would have gotten big points since that would have gotten him the sole event win, but he failed at the lockout. It should have been easy enough for him to do, since he did 3reps quite easily 2 years ago. It's a bit weird that he doesn't seem to care enough to really tap into max power. But probably thought he wins anyway, so why use more than 80%. Well 2017 he was definitely more motivated, that's for sure.
That PR is exactly why Larry will excel in Strong Man! He failed his first few attempts, not because he wasn't strong enough, but because he needed a few tweaks with his technique. Thor and Stefan immediatley knew what he needed to fix and Larry listened and was able to apply those tips right away. Thor and Stefan are excellent teachers and Larry is a quick learner. Love the content!!

I just have to say that Thor is one of the luckiest people on the planet. He's a multiple world strongman champion ( and multiple in other strong man competitions). His girlfriend(or wife) is FFFIIIINE. He's got great friends and a great family. He's got a very lucrative Hollywood career. Good on you Thor.
