still there on Golden fish street, but most shops moved either away or moved on second floor, rent for ground level is too expensive, now you can find restaurants because land/shop owner want to make more profit, that is why Hong Kong is no longer "heaven of shopping", good old days are gone !!

The last time I went to HK was in 1983. It is ever so crowded. One has to walk inside the walkways to avoid dripping laundry hanging outside. Saw one elder lady receiving tongue lashing from a young lad on push cart. She did nothing wrong but merely staring at his fruits for sale. What a rude guy. I never went back to HK again.
yes highly recommended beware of pick pockets, these thieves are believed come from mainland China, so tourists should keep your money and documents safe.
I go there all the time, don't find any problem... there are everywhere in every country.... my family got robbed multiple times in France and great Britain...
