I would love to see a video on the range of bikes and riders that where in your group. cheapest and most expensive bikes, oldest rider and the such. Ive thought of doing the NC500 for years now and watching you guys is making me even more keen to do so. Keep up the good work 👍🏼.
Interesting post , last week someone questioned why a bloke was doing it on a mountain bike . To me a bikes a bike if your going up a lot of hills , what better than a mountain bike .
We did have a wide range of bikes and abilities. I didn't do a breakdown of each bike, 15 bikes, thought it might be a bit long & boring. Did do a sweeping shot of each one in the day 1 video. The abilities did vary, one guy was super fast down hills (see this video! He was on a really expensive aero bike) but he struggled going up. I was one of the slowest down but much faster up. The oldest rider was 54 and I'd say he was probably the 2nd fittest guy on the trip.
Great question, I had a Endura F5260-Pro ‘waterproof’, it definitely wasn’t up to the task! Not sure if there is exists on the market a jacket that can withstand the Scottish weather but my advice is go as expensive as you can afford.
