Keep getting these ads saying that you can’t learn guitar from TH-cam videos and you need a tutor/paid app but I’m completely self taught and can play at a higher level than anything taught on fender play. So stupid

Damn I play through the whole video without even realizing it, what an amazing backing track! Felt it all the way through, awesome. You could say my spirit was... elevated.
Anybody else finding that E Aeolian doesn't sit too well on this? Sounds best to me if I target the extensions (7,9...) of each chord, and whole tone scale for the BAug...
I find C Major works really well for it. I took one listen to the beginning notes and said to heck with it and played some C, and it actually sounds great to me. Also, once the Baug7 comes into play, I actually played some F phrasing around it (F, Bb, etc.) since the B and the A together makes it sound similar to like a Bdim chord, which would also fit into C major. Idk, worked for me. Maybe try some of that and see how it works for you?
I'd stick with G Ionian/E Aeolian over everything except G7, in which case I'd use G Mixolydian/C Ionian and a G7 arpeggio. Over the Baug, you have a few options; I like B Superlocrian/C Melodic Minor or B Phrygian Dominant/E Harmonic Minor.
Try G# Locrian Pentatonic over the B aug. D#maj7+5 and BmM7 arpeggios sound great over the B aug, too.
Nice touch with the rhodes sounding electric piano and r&b kinda harmony. I felt like your tracks became all the same for a while there, but this is fresh and novel indeed. More like this please!

When I want to relax I get my guitar out and I play this song and I just love it it's very relaxing what whoever put this together did a good job

B7 is a dominant to Em so...yes, it DEFINITELY may be e aeolian.
its an e harmonic minor chord, but of course, it fit with the e aeolian as a dominant chord

When you say E7sus2, It makes it seem like its dominant function. Its a minor chord. E minor. E minor 9.

Love how you include the scales and chords. Please consider some backing tracks in the style of indie and alternative rock. Some style suggestions: Pink Floyd, Kurt Vile, Mars Volta, Radiohead, Queens Of The Stoneage, Red Hot Chili Peopers, Rage Against The Machine.
Why are you writing the chord as Baug7 when B7#9 is the most common way of writing that?

Love those aug7, although I’d call them 7#5, but I am really not sure if there is any difference between those two. Aren’t they both 1-3-#5-b7? Anyhoo, is always a nice chance to give some love to the altered scale!

Not saying stop learning theory. Try improv with your voice, if you do, tell me the results!
I think you'll find its the 5th that's augmented, not the 7th. Cos that would just be an octave. But there's a minor 7th as well as the aug 5. Generally if a chord is described as 'augmented' you assume its the 5th, in this case F double sharp.

Your E7sus2 is actually an Em11 chord, is it not? You have the 7 (d) in the chord, so the "sus" doesn't work. An Esus2 chord is E, B, and F#. With the 7 in there, the F# is then called the 9 rather than the 2. Also, you have an A on the top of the voicing. I don't see the minor 3rd in there, but given that you are in the key of E minor, I see your voicing as E,B,D,F#,A, which is almost a D/E, but the presence of the B in there leads me to Em11. Am I mistaken?

even if that's technically correct, I knew how to finger the chord exactly the way he did based on his description. It could also be seen as an inverted Bmadd4, its all the same.
